For sake of argument lets say we draft in the top 5 next year. First of all saying we have to draft our biggest need in the first just is not smart. It all depends who is available. Generally a top 5 pick is either a franchise QB or someone that physically dominates at a critical position. I have not looked at mocks but if there is a top shelf DE or a corner who can play the other teams 1 then I would go in that direction. Those two positions are difficult to fill later in the draft because they are such physical positions especially at DE.

I say this EVERY draft, BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE! Every position is open.

its very easy. Take one or two positions of weakness and overload them. for example; to fix corners and linebacking , draft two corners and two linebackers. If Miami have drafted the two lbs available in the 3rd rd of 2016 draft, they would have had Joshua Perry and Kentral Brotherss. Linebacking issues fixed.

As bad as we are we have to get one of the players I have listed in my signature. All are easily top 10 picks. Myles Garrett is a once in a generation DE and Leonard Fournette is a rare RB prospect.

If your going to have draft threads this time of year, make 'em good. Yes it depends who is available.

Aside from LT with Tunsil and DT with Suh, every position is available. Either due to poor play or injury history, Always take the blue chipper regardless of the current player in the position.

Here's how to handle the draft.
1. Fire Tannenbaum
2. Fire Grier
3. Hire someone that's actually good at player personnel

Even if you can't find #3 and make all your picks based on running Finheaven polls, you're better off.

That works in the first round if your team is at least borderline competitive. The FO tells us that this was how they approached the 2016 draft and we ended up ignoring the defense while stock piling offensive backups.

If your draft board is flawed, it doesn't even matter.

Myles Garrent is the difference making pass rusher. Jalen Tabor is a stud corner (although I think he is drafted around tenth), and Watson IMO is the top QB. I am high on Fournette as I would love to have a boss RB to lean on. Lots of holes. But, if we could get a game changer like Garret or Watson early and a good starting LB in rd 2 that could help to start the turn around. I just don't see Tannenbum making the right decisions.
we need a Real Frickin Mike, a corner, pass rusher, Beast RB and QB. Lots of holes.

Im a Gator fan and like Davis, but he is NOT a top ten pick. Borderline late first rd IMO. Now if we pick top 5 and go Garret, Watson, or a corner, Davis would be a good get at the top of round 2

An RB is needed desperately; McCaffrey > Fournette IMO

As much as i enjoy watching McCaffrey he is not the kind of RB1 that we need IMO.... I'd rather have a Cook or Fournette but honestly i'd rather find a good back in the later rounds. It happens year after year except hopefully we will find the right one.

I'd would go for the DE. That's a position that can really take over games. I love draft day but then I think about the fact tanne-dumb gave away our 3rd and 4th rounder and it makes me crazy. With all the holes we have we could be drafting top 5 in every round. Those were premium picks he wasted away on a at best 3rd string slow WR.

Ozzy rules!!
