How in the Hell does NE get a comp pick in the 3rd?

They're the Patriots... They always get a free 3rd round pick.

Their owner is best buddies with the Commish.

They understand the comp pick system better than anyone. They get grizzled veterans, use them up for their last few productive years, then some **** franchise like Oakland or NYJ overpays them, gifting the Patriots a comp pick.

The compensatory pick system is a joke and pointless. Should have been done away with years ago. There is no reason to give any team extra picks unless it's an expansion team. Either sign players or don't you shouldn't be rewarded for that BS.

y'all do realize the NFL is a fixed league, right? Beyond that -- deflated balls = 3rd round compensation (for creative cheating). Look it up.

They're New England. You don't question that ****. You just thank Goodell that you got the chance to play on the same field as them and watch the rules change before your very eyes.

Its all legit really, there`s no conspiracy here... I do think its a stupid procedure though...

Yea, it's legit. Like Brady isn't closet gay? Diggin on deflated balls. Oh yea.

Cant help that we never get a chance to lose many of our players to free agency or then counter it with bad free agent signings.
When you whiff big in free agency it hurts you at both ends.

It's their reward for only deflating the footballs 2 pounds each. If they had gone to four pounds their comp would have only been a 4th rounder.

It has something to do with the commish and the NE owner. Can't put it up on this cite.
