I already see people spinning the Hickey hire by saying the Buccs have a good nucleus of drafted players that Hickey helped find. Well, Ireland also was able to find "solid" starters at many positions in the draft, but his main fault was that he never drafted stars. Can anyone name a STAR drafted by TB in the past few years?

When I look at TB I don't see a roster stocked with more talent than Miami, but that appears to be the narrative being set up. The records the past few years also don't support that narrative as the Dolphjns have outperformed them.

Who do we have that matches up to any of these players at their position? They are younger and better

McCoy, L Davie, D Martin, M Barron, Signed V Jackson, traded for Revis, a decent Oline, hit by injury and the infectious MSRA

McCoy, David, and Martin are legitimate stars and better than anything we have.

LaVontea David that's it! McCoy is lazy and often doesn't show up he finally had a good year. Davin Joseph is ok, Doug Martin was human this year.

The Bucs roster is not better then ours.

Hamster was very underwhelming this year. So basically they have 2 stars?

I would take Wake and a bunch of solid contributors the Dolphins have over that roster. Also, I feel like we hit on a legitimate QB while they never could in TB.

If anything, the rosters are equal, there is no way they could be considered superior. We are also not TB fans so we aren't able to nitpick every player to death like we do here.

At best, Hickey is a lateral move to Ireland, but I have a feeling it will be worse.

They've also been better in free agency, signing actual great players like Vincent Jackson to acceptable contracts, rather than grossly overpaying for inferior players like Mike Wallace. Dashon Goldson > Reshad Jones, for that matter.

Hickey deserves a fair shake. The process that brought him here was an unmitigated fiasco, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will be bad at the job.

If you think we have a better roster than them, that's fine. I look at our roster and I see trash at RB, trash on the OL, one H-Back at TE, a couple of nice WRs who are overpaid, a good DL, garbage LBs, and a secondary that's one injury to Brent Grimes away from being awful. We have a much better QB, the end.

David and Barron.

Those 2 combined are better than any players Ireland ever drafted.

And unfortunately we don't know how much input this guy had in those 2 selections. Drafting 2 talented guys in all those years also isn't something to really hang your hat on.

The Ireland roster was a game away from the playoffs while the Buccs haven't managed that in years. Can't blame that all in MRSA

Josh Freeman, Mike Glennon. You don't think the Bucs had talent? They were right there with the Seahawks, Saints, and other teams. They were good enough to be in those games.

They had straight trash at QB.

If you like the Bucs roster, hire Mark Dominik. WTF?

Hey let us spin it however we need to. would you prefer we all just get drunk on a boat and let the tide take us wherever lol

At the time Vjax signed the biggest contract ever for a wr and I bet if I dig around you were one of the ones against it because vjax is another DUI away from a season long suspension.

Now you contradict the whole premise of this thread. You and no one knows how much input he had in any of their final personnel decisions.

How is the Titans roster better or the Browns roster or even the Patriots?

That's true. I mean, this makes no sense whatsoever. The ACTUAL GM was available, and they end up with his sidekick and put him in charge? LOL

Go ahead and dig. I don't think I ever said that. And they obviously did their due diligence as we haven't heard a peep out of that.
