We need to be patient. Let's be committed to letting him sit for a season so he can get used to the speed of NFL practice against our starting D.
Looking back it took Marino a few games too get settled in. I just don't see what is too be gained by sitting Tannehill on the bench. Mentally, I think he is ready. If he proves in camp he has the ability too outshine Moore than the best place for him is on the fileld. If Moore starts it wouldn't bother me much, he seemed too do a fair job and maybe with our new recievers and game plan even better.

Before training camp and preseason games? So while on one hand, you think the Dolphins will have their first real QB competition. But then you say that Phiblin (and you) have already made up their mind that Tannehill is the best.
By the way, what did you expect Philin to say? That he intends to start the older black QB? Or that he wants to play the tall blonde rookie?
IMO, here is what training camp will be like:
"Ryan Tannehill showed flashes of what he will bring to the Dolphins in the future but still has a ways to go, NFL defenses are right now, too complex for him".
"David Garrard showed at times his big arm and why he has played so many good seasons as a NFL starting QB, certainly a solid back up, his days as a starter might be over".
"Matt Moore showed why he won 2/3ths of his games last season with his very even QB play. He looks to be the starter at least for this season".
