Since I haven't had the opportunity to watch a Miami Dolphins' preseason game I didn't have the opportunity to see Jake's performances, so I would like to know what about his blocking talent (pass and rush block), strength, athleticism, penalties, etc...

Thats why I ask you guys, how is Jake Long developing so far?

well he got beat pretty bad on one running play by spicer that made the run go for a loss but other than that he controlled spicer which is one of the best DEs in my opinion. the dolphins picked up the blitz great all night

So not a bad game yesterday against the Jags, but how about against the Bucs?, how many penalties?

Henne and Penny stayed clean all game long.. That's about as good as it gets for a young O-line this early in the season.

Long looks like a great pick so far. He's made about 1 mistake per game so far in preseason but other than that he's looked pretty dominant.

I saw a highlight where he completely whiffed a block in the game last night. I haven't watched the game so I can't assess his work, but I do think he's been developing better against speed rushers.

he is performing as the 1st overall pick should perform, which is very very solid

He had one bad play against Tampa (penalty) and one last night, every time I watched him, his guy was taken out of the play. He looks solid.

Not much I can add, he's done a great job of sealing off the opponents edge rushers and has really been a masher in the run game. He's a rookie and in my opinion the false start in the first game was first game jitters and the whiff block against Spicer was a simple veteran vs rookie schooling. But in the words of Tony Boselli himself doing the Jags Broadcast last night, "He'll learn those things, clean them up, and he's going to be a force for this Dolphins Team on the left side of the line."

He was getting a great hand punch and sliding off for the second rusher a lot in pass pro, and getting on the 2nd level with his drive blocking...yea the spicer play and I watched Henderson turn him on a run play.. looked like a awesome player 97% the time...

He's looked great put it this way! 1 penalty and 1 missed block on a run! but how many sacks has he let in yet??? None! I like what iv seen from him so far! He should have a great year! Pro Bowl this year... Mabye.... But i def see him there in the future which is a great sign ! Im happy with our 1st pick!

Jake "The Snake" Long is going to be just fine!! The more experience he gets the better he will be.

He had a dominating performance. I believe he had four or five knock downs. He consistently blocked more than one player by getting to the second level. He did have that whiff, and this is only a preseason game. I am very encouraged, and I cannot wait to see him in a real game.
