How is this mock? I can't make a good one.

Duke Robinson at one and Ron Brace in the 3rd and change the last 2 WR Picks cuz if we get Britt early 2nd we won't get those other two.

1. James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State - 6'3- 240
2. Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers 6-4, 205
2. Mike Mickens, CB, Cincinnati 6-0, 180
3. Jonathan Luigs, C, Arkansas 6-4, 314
4. Nic Harris, S, Oklahoma - 6'3- 230
5. Pat White, WR, West Virginia - 6'1- 192
6. Greg Carr, WR, Florida State - 6'6- 214

Not a bad mock. I would swap Laurentis with Nicks Wr and draft best olb left with first pick of second round. I actully hope we dont waste a pick on Pat White. I personally am starting to hate the wildcat. Im not worried though because the more we run it the less we will run it long term.

I like Mack (Center) for the first pick and then OLB/ILB followed by CB or S. WR, ILB/OLB, and NT would be the next needs. The rest of the draft would be bpa for backup positions.

If we sign Brown from the Ravens then go OLB. If we sign a good FA ILB, then look at a RB to replace Ricky Williams.

Were not gonna take 3 WRS.

Exactly. I'll even go as far as saying we might not even pick up one WR (not saying I'm against a guy like Nicks or Britt, but we need more than a good receiver). Instead of two or three of them, I'd pick up a backup OT (or starter in case Carey walks), a NT, and and probably a OLB.

Mickens is growing on me though. Good size, and getting a younger CB is something I really would like this offseason. I'll admit I don't like Luigs as much as some other C's at that position (I'd prefer Antoine Caldwell with the 3), but I'm sure I could live with it if we drafted him.

Anything that starts with Laurinaitis is an EPIC FAIL.

But seriously, the rest of it is solid, but that would not be a good start.

actually now with the signing of wake i think we are going cb or fs with the first pick, then we go olb or wr with 2a and 2b will be o line

Terrible.

Laurinaitis is not a 3-4 LB in any shape or form.

id be OK with the 2nds and 3rd. but Nic Harris in the 4th? first of all, he stands 0 chance of ever being in this league at Safety IMO. and 2nd, they are going to move him to LB in which case he doesnt have a chance in the 3-4.

would be OK with White in the 5th.

we dont have a 6th, and i certainly wouldnt pick greg carr there if we did.

Lauranitis-bust haha
receiver-first day hahaha
Mikens-good value in the 5th or 6th. zone corner, doesnt fit
Luigs-good pick, may be better options there however
Harris-way to early for a special teamer, who doesnt fit
Pat white-No comment haha
greg carr-undrafted free agents in the 6th doesnt sound good.
1-6

Yo I like Nic Harris. Seems like a smart football player and with coaching I think can be a devastating SS ala, Adrian Wilson. No doubt he is a project but, with his physical tools. He has a lot of potential to work with.

Just thinking ahead to 2010, if we can develop Harris, our FS could be E. Berry or even Taylor M. A tandem like that would give us a stout team on defense and especially in our secondary's middle.
