How long do you guys think Saban will give C-Pepp to improve before he decides to pull him for Joey?

Need to merge these two post.

I saw the vote and thought, "wow I am really in the majority here" then realised, I was the only one who had voted! weeks 9-16

Now my vote is saying that we are out of the playoffs and CP is playing horrible then...... But I know we will win our division and CP will be going to Hawaii :) i hope :)

I voted weeks 3-8. You have to think that If Daunte hasn't improved by then, we will need to see if JHoey can turen things around for us before it's too late.

Am I the only person who thinks Culpepper has been solid so far?

How about the lack of turnovers from our defense, I think Culpepper has been one of the least of our problems

So if Daunte doesn't play outstanding next week....you're ready to bench him?

I'd say if there is no sign of improvement, and it is indeed Pepper at fault it would occur around weeks 4 or 5. Hopefully that won't happen.

Well, It looks like finally Saban is no longer on my pedestal...I never liked the Anderson pickup and now it looks like CP will flop. I saw a writer on either CBS or SI that befero the season wrote that CP would be out and Harrington in by mid season and I remember saying this guy must be dreaming, well he's looking pretty good right about now!

Culpepper probably isn't even 85% of his old self, and he's proven that by his imobility in the pocket. Nonetheless, you give him the entire season no matter what, because it's not like we have a potential future starter on the bench who can come in and develop.

I don't accept crybaby's as team leaders.. Daunte is our guy. It's funny how many of you said you wouldn't even mind Pep sitting out the entire season to get healthy, back when we originally got him. Tables sure turned, huh?

I dont see how we could wait to week eight if he is playin poorly ,if we care about the rest of the season. Id pull him now cause if we lose the easy ones we
will be in bad shape for the last half of the season because the competiton only gets tougher.

You guys have to understand, Dante is our future, Joey was insurance should DC falter before the season.

If you bench Dante, you are throwing away your future. The same way you groom a rookie, we have to groom DC back from him injury. Give it time.

If he entire team plays good ball, we'll win regardless of DC. When the whole team suxors, DC's bad performances will stick out.

I don't know. Lets say, hypothetically, he plays a solid game against the Titans, and the Texans. That won't be convincing enough for me, as the Titans and the Texans are even worse than we are right now. Even Culpepper can get off on this teams. If he struggles against these teams, either one, he should be benched at the half in favor of Joey. If he doesn't and he plays well against these two teams, well we'll let him start and then we meet NE. If he sucks there, its time to bench him for the remainder of the season.

Man, be serious. How do you know DC is our future? Did your crystal ball tell you so? Just because he was once a great QB doesn't mean he still can be especially after this serious injury. Daunte could very well be a broken QB, ala Kurt Warner.
