How long till we are a Super Bowl contender?

I love the Dolphins and have stuck by them even through the days with moron Dave Wannstedt and his crappy drafting. Jamar Fletcher over Brees are you freaking kidding me? Anyways now that jack *** is out of there and sent back to college where he belongs. Hell I hope he gets sent back to coaching high school lol.

Anyways the point is, when will the Dolphins be a team that is Super Bowl bound. Do you think we can ride the end of the year winning streak we had straight to the playoffs or will we take a step backward and lose lots of games. I really want us to win again and hope Saban can make it happen.
 
I think we are a playoff team next year. Any team that makes it to the playoffs is a contender. Pitt was the 6th seed this year and won. So, we are contenders next year, IMO.
 
The likelihood is next year ... as we have several holes to fill and need to build some depth.

That being said - we'll have a better view in MAY -- post the draft and the major FA period.

We 'could' become a SB caliber team this off-season ... but again -- our shortfalls in impact players at QB, LB, S, and C all have to be addressed and that is certainly not an easy task to accomplish [but easy for us to plan]
 
At the rate we're improving... December of this year.
 
This year coming up playoffs and the year after serious contender for the Bowl.
 
No one can honestly say 2-3 more years...Teams rise from average to Super Bowl bound in no time!! The NFL's extreme parity makes it so even that about 15-20 teams are realistic contenders.
 
Every team in the NFL is a contender. That is until they dont make the playoffs. And for the ones who do, any of them have a shot. I want to make the playoffs first, then we'll talk about the SB

THAT'S RIGHT! Before, I would have said in a year or two. After the way we finished the season with 6 wins in a row, I'd say we're a contender THIS YEAR.:dolphins:

We wont be contending for a Superbowl until we get a QB, and some secondary help.
 
WOW... I think most of you guys are being REALLY optimistic here... While we have made great strides under Saban there is still a long way to go... He had a marvelous draft last year and has to EQUAL that again this year for us to compete at such a high level... We need some front line players... At corner, on the OL, at Linebacker and lets face it, we are not gonna make it to the show with the 28th ranked QB in the league... But most of all we need depth (just ask the Patsies)... The single greatest truth in this sport we love is... THERE WILL BE INJURIES. A pretty tall order in a single off season... Yes anything can happen when you make the playoffs but being in New England's division throws us in for a wildcard in an extremely brutal AFC... Baby steps... I don't want just one... I want five!
 
Any and every team has a shot. Personaly I think we are all around good enough to have as legit a chance as any of the other 31 teams in the NFL. The Ravens have won a superbowl with absolutly zero offense and an incredible defense. As long as we have a quarterback that will not singal handedly lose games for us there is nothing holding us back. Then again, there is nothing holding back the Texans either
 
As soon as our new corners and 1 new safety start to get the hang of the system, that's when we're gonna start to get serious. I really want them to either draft a qb or pick one up in FA but if our D gets a little tighter with a few additions this year I think we'll be straight with Frerrotte.
