dolphins might look to trade him, but the big question is, whos gonna want him? nobody want alexander or james not even for a 3rd round pick why would they take pothead ricky williams?????

After he has a good year with us and his stock rises, that will give us a chance to groom Brown, and get a high draft pick for Ricky, you never know though Saban might like this 1-2 punch

During the next draft. We need to move up to get a QB.

Let's hear it folks, how long?

He has to prove to other teams that he wants to play again, is able to make the comeback and will commit to any team (including the Fins) that he won't be trampsing off to Austrailia or Asia until after his contract has expired...There is a long way to go to determine if we can get anything from him...

no one is going to even want him until they see atleast half a season out of him, and even after that there are still teams who want nothing to do with him

if thats the case and we trade him to move up to get a top calibure qb even though im a big fan of ricky that would be the idle situation

fianlly an intelligent statement

Why would you get rid of williams, we have the most talented backfield in the nfl. Ronnie Brown has never started at Auburn, and now you want him to play 16 weeks of football at the NFL level. Ronnie would get injured if he all of a sudden tried to shoullder that load. Ricky will be hear for at least 2 years, this year ricky will get around 55%-66% of the snaps, and every year incrementally they will give the ball more to ronnie as he gets older and adjusts to the rigors of the nfl.

The beauty is that there is no drop off in talent between ricky and ronnie. Saban is a genius.

by the end of the season when lamont jordan busts for oakland, they'll be callin

miami did it in the early 70's with 2 runningbacks why can't they do it in the year 2005?ricky williams will never be traded he is the best running back in the game today and he will prove that this year.get used to the ricky and ronnie show for a long time in miami!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe some team will hire Mike Ditka and he will trade away his whole draft for him. Or maybe someone will hire Wanny and he'll give us two #1's for him.

Funny how both those coaches are no longer in the NFL...If I were a head coach, I'd consider that fact.

There's simply no reason to trade Ricky until he's proven he still has something to offer. I seriously doubt Saban is going through all of the motions just to trade Ricky away. He wants Ricky to be a productive part of this football team.

Here's another senario nobody is looking at. Ricky, after a full season under Saban, may not want to be traded for all we know. He may find HC N. Saban to be the kind of guy he enjoys playing for, and it could change his entire outlook on his future in football. Nobody knows for sure, but I have a good feeling that Ricky is ready to erase the slate, and start over. This is huge season for Ricky, and I only hope he can handle the pressure he'll face stemming from his controversial return....

PHINZ RULE!!!
