dolphins might look to trade him, but the big question is, whos gonna want him? nobody want alexander or james not even for a 3rd round pick why would they take pothead ricky williams?????

Those players want cap busting contracts.Thats why there are no takers even when their teams lower their demands for draft position.

Ricky's contract is easy on the pocketbook thus a higher draft pick would be merited.

BTW its always good to have an other category in these polls.

Saban said he does not believe in putting the full work-load on one guy. RW said he wants to play 2 years and retire. Maybe he changes his mind if he can go to Oak. or SF, but that does not bode well for trade material.

A team would hardly give a top4 rd. pick for a guy that only wants to play 2 years. Henry brought a 3rd. RW is worthy of a 1st and more, however the questions surrounding him drop his market value to a 6th or 7th. A desperate team may give a higher pick, but not before next season and only if RW rips it up. I hope he stays, and I really feel (RW has stated he would not be coming back at all if Wanny were still the coach) he will like Saban's system and he may want to play for 3-4 years if he knows that he will not need to carry it 30 times a game.

As for Ronnie, he has not proven anything and is not signed yet. He has had his share of injuries in college and we need all the insurance we can get. Ronnie is very capable. I just feel that it will be harder to game-plan against the Fins having two real studs and a couple other guys that have a ton of ability like Gordon,Morris, Harris and Minor. Gordon could be traded, and he may comand a top 4 rd (w/incentives he could pull a 2nd if productive)pick if he really does well in T.C. and the first few weeks of the reg. season. I really do believe in Ronnie, I just do not want to get to hyped and see it all fall apart.

Ricky will proudly be a Dolphin for the rest of his days in the NFL!!!!

I really don't believe he'll be traded. Saban has a whole new coaching regime in here and I don't think there will be enough value from other teams. If he returns to form he will probably be much more valuable to us than anyone else.

I don't think you'll see those side comments we used to always see from the players as the season wore on. That'll make a big difference. Saban seems to be excellent and having people believe in his message and what he's trying to accomplish.

They're not wanted for salary cap reasons. Those situations are irrelevant to the trade/not trade of RW.

This seasom he will play in an important role on the offense. If he does really good, then we could trade him next offseason.
