how long would he last?

Hate to say it but their (his and Muellers) fate is tied in with the Draft. The Beck/Ginn vs Quinn/Jarret comparisons won't stop until one side is proven to be a bust. Interesting ship to be in!

depends how we do this year. i'm sure if beck isn't superbowl/league mvp in his first year some fans will try to run him out of town. even if we still struggle a bit this year I like the direction he's taking the team, we need to give him a chance to get it going. we keep saying it'll take a few years to turn around this franchise, and every time we change coaches i feel that 'few years' gets reset, so, we'll see. one can only hope. Go Phins

you do realize that Jarret never fit our offensive system right?

It doesn't matter who fit or who didn't fit. If in 3-4 years we are finishing 8-8 or 9-7 and Brady Quinn is in Hawaii drinking Kahluas, this regime will be forced out of town.

There is a another possibility and that is that they both could be busts or both could be a success. I like the latter but I don't think Beck will be a bust he has too much talent, but I wish he was a couple of years younger.

depends what some one prior said something about the draft and i feel like that is true. i dot think they have to be better than quinn/jarrett but just as good. and if they can get it done i think they need to get to the playoffs in 3 years. than look for a superbowl so i say 4 years if he dosent get it done but if he does than 15+

IF Kassim Osgood could play in this scheme,I think jarret could. Also would Sindney rice make you feel better on this arguement.

I think if he doesn't put out a winner in two years and especially if Beck and Ginn are not good fairly quick, Huzienga will have no qualm pulling the plug. I don't see him giving Cam a long leash.

i don't think the quinn/ jarrett comparison will play any role whatsoever, most definitely not as long as the fins combo is working.

aside from that - i don't know whether it's just me being a die hard fan or not, but i actually and really do think the dolphins can and will make the playoffs this year as long as we are able to fill the tight end position with quality and especially as long as the o-line does their jobs. i believe that will lift ronnie brown to a whole new level. the receiving corps with chambers in the slot, ginn as a constant deep threat and hagan in the flat is at least pretty decent. :tantrum:

i think we agree that we don't need to talk that much about the defense anyway.

and don't forget about our division rivals - we can beat them any given day.

as bad as last year's record may look - we're not three years away from our next playoff run! :cooldude:

Cam's fate is tied to how well Beck and Ginn play, how poorly Quinn plays, and if he gets the fins to the playoffs in the next three years. If he can't do it in 3, he'll be gone. If he can, and then keep them good, who knows. I want to win Super Bowls, but even if he doesn't, as long as he keeps them in contention every year, he'll be here. Kinda like Cowher was for Pittsburgh so long without a SB ring until 2006.
