How many db's in the nfl run slower that a 4.6 40??

i know reggie howard runs like 4.7 or 4.8 and i think T.Daniels is right around 4.6

I'm trying to figure what dynamic point you are trying to make with this poll.

More then 10%, I'm sure, especially when you start getting into bigger strong safeties.

I've heard someone claim that Sammy Knight runs something like a 4.85.

This poll can be skewed by Safeties. They are going to be most of the guys running the slower times. But I would guess that it is around 30-35%.

Im sure there are alot. I dont really get the point of this but some cover 2 and backup DBs are quite slow. Then there are a ton of safties that are. The problem is the 40 time varies from run to run and age to age so it is impossible to gauge. Even if you based it on combine results a person can get faster or slower throughout their career.

How many times a game do db's in the nfl get bogus penalties called on them? If their a Phin then it's got to be over 30%!!!

There's no way to actually know without timing each one. What they ran coming out of college is probably different from what they run now. Especially if they suffered some kind of leg injury or have gained a significant amount of weight.
As others have stated, some players play faster (or slower) than they time.
