There's a good market for CBs and FS in FA too. We have at least 4 CBs with X, Needham, Wiltz and Ryan Lewis.

I'm hoping for a FA boundary CB.

That leaves one nickle spot left.

I'm also hoping for McCourty at FS.

We can keep Hartage on roster too.

Of course Hartage isn't great and McCourty is old and expensive but my point is we could get away with just one Nickle/FS tweener. Shaun Wade or Sheheim Carter would make sense. Maybe both but that's it.

One, maybe two DBs in the second day I'd be happy with.

I would love to snatch McCourty. He makes too much sense.

Depends on free agency. We definitely need a starting boundary corner opposite X, and I wonder if Needham can be a decent nickel guy.... this is a nice FA class for cornerbacks, and I'd like to avoid spending a first round pick on one. Byron Jones, James Bradberry, Marcus Peters, Ronald Darby, and Eli Apple is a guy who is coming into his own.

I also want to draft a safety but not too high. I like Ashtyn Davis a lot but not sure how high I'd draft him. Justin Simmons or Vonn Bell would be a really nice pick up in FA -- hell, with the cap space we have I'd love them as a pairing.

I've said many, MANY times that I think it is a stupid move to take a safety in the first round at all, but I do think we should take on in the late 2nd, early 3rd range.

For the most part, and despite the stupid contract that we gave Jones, safeties work cheap

I'm hoping we can get a starting corner in free agency and a safety too. Of course I'd like two starting oline players as well.
You need DB's for sure and if we get two starting DB's in free agency(one corner & one safety) then you don't need to worry about that on draft week.

Justin Simmons and Vonn Bell would indeed be a nice, young S tandem.

I'm afraid Simmons is more of a cover two type of guy, though. I don't see single high. He's not very fast although he's fluid (6.58 3 cone) and a great leaper. But he has the tendency to STAY deep middle instead of breaking to the ball on throws to the boundary as a single high.

I guess it's him not trusting his speed.

I think we had McCain back there because speed, fluidness and instincts are very important on a FS in our scheme. We want our FS to be sideline to sideline. To actually be at the spot of the catch as it's being made instead of back pedaling into an angle of pursuit.

I'll go with drafting at least 3. At least one Safety to pair with Rowe and McCain. And 2 CB's to help solidify the position. Howard, Needham and Wiltz aren't too bad, when healthy. But I think Miami will want to try and be at least 5 deep at the position. I think McCain sticks at Safety and becomes the move piece in the secondary in the sub packages.

I think Miami needs a corner opposite of Howard and a safety. I'd draft a corner pretty high.
