Today I got a phone call with the caller ID saying STH FL Stadium (must stand for South Florida Stadium LOL).
I thought 'hey, maybe I am going to get some free tickets for the Orange Bowl game" but it was not so. :(

It was a Dolphins rep. Before that person even started I said "As long as the Dolphins stay Status Quo I am not renewing."
"Oh no," the answer was "we just want to invite you for a Stadium tour."

OK, I am going to THIS stadium since 1988. I probably can give that person a stadium tour. :D
I don't know if season ticket holders got the call as well. I send my cancellation the Monday after the Jets game so they may have just gotten the letter. A friend of mine who dumped his tickets a couple years ago ("until Irleland is gone") also got the phone call.

We both accepted the invitation for two reasons:
a) maybe we got some free drinks
b) to get our word in

:chuckle:

It is sad though that they have to start making calls to individuals trying to "convince" people how great this franchise is. :rolleyes2:
After over 2 decades I am done though until there is any kind of improvement. Ross is a businessman. Business is: no product or crappy product, no customers.

:3w:

True story. Last year I was working and received a phone call around 4 pm from a Florida area code. (I live in NJ.) It was a sale rep for the Dolphins, inquiring when I am comming out for another Dolphins game. This was kinda odd, since I live in Jersey and its costs $$ to get down to South Fla. I thought maybe he was offering Free Tix. " Oh no, but we could probably set you up with some upgrades." I didnt call back. The point is, how desperate to fill seats do you have to be to call out of State fans?? If we don't make some changes, those seats will look like a Mets game in September.

I got a similar call last April and I live in California. The difference was the sales rep suggested I could sell whatever tickets I didn't fly over and use as an "investment". Seattle and San Francisco home games would have much more value if I ever wanted to do that.

normally the people who they have calling fans that had purchased one or two games is normally the lower paid, fresh out of college sales reps. i worked with the Charlotte Bobcats in 2010 and they would give us "leads" of people who attended one or two games last year, people that attended concerts at the arena, paid for leads that they were experimenting with, etc. its something all teams do that don't have sell outs night in and night out.

I have an idea. Let's start a campaign, perhaps a billboard, to get the chief marketing executive fired from the team!

I bought, upgraded, and renewed 3 season tickets from 1984 to 2003. Talk about begging. I got phone calls twice a day sometimes. The calls stopped after the 2005 season. I don't regret dropping them at all.
I do not recognize this team anymore. The soft new logo, stupid front office, and idiot owner.

They lost almost half of their season ticket holder base in the last 8 years. That they don't get it....it's mind boggling.

its something all teams do that don't have sell outs night in and night out because management is inept from the owner down to the qb coach.

There... I finished the sentence for you. I'm assuming your phone rang and you didn't get a chance to add that last bit I put in.

Ross thinks its bad now just wait till all the fans know that he isnt going to make a change in the GM or the coaching staff , if what was said was true , that he will retain everybody for next year ,it will be like a ghost town in the stadium next year , just watch.....

I said it before.Ross won't get it until he is sitting in his luxury box looking at an empty stadium..
