Assuming Feeley doesn't channel the spirit of Marino and Frerotte stays away from head slamming music, Saban looks like he's going to start the season with Frerotte. How many games would Frerotte have to win to justify his being named the starter over the younger QBs we have.

One more than with any of the other QBs.

It does not appear that any of these guys are the answer. Win as much as possible and try to change the cast next year.

I don't think he has to win "X" amount of games to stay the starter, I'd just like to see him not single handedly LOSE any games.

:yeahthat:

I would say that at least we would have to be competitive otherwise why not go with youth?

If I was y'all and Gus led the Phins to 7 or more wins then I would be thrilled.

I would have to agree, we need a qb not to loose games for us (that happened way too much last year) if gus can stear us down the feild, not make mistakes, and control the game, we will do fine.

Well I figure he has to at least improve on our season last year and considering our oLine looks a little better, Boston is back and Ricky and Ronnie are here i picked 8-8 minimum. It would have been higher but our secondary might be bad

which you qbs, imo berlin is our only young qb, 27/28 is not young.

A 27 year old QB can be effective for 8 years. I generally use 35 as a cutoff althopugh obviously occasionally there are exceptions

I added a word that I think makes your statement more accurate. It's the one in bold, and it doesn't appear to describe anyone on the team.

id like him to throw more TD's to our Recievers than to the other teams D

Fair enough. Thats a good point. There's no way a bad QB would stick around until 35. ( although how old was Jeff George)

You guys who said that it doesnt matter we will trust Saban - Are you really being honest? I don't think its possible with the improvements on the Oline and running back position but if we somehow went 4-12 or worse are you telling me you wouldnt second guess the guy?

Exactly!!!! Unless you are talking about Brock, he is the only one of the team young enough to use the age excuse. AJ is already over the hill....AND he sucks.
