I have never seen so many people openly root for their own player to fail

No one is rooting for Henne to fail. Stop.

If people here were rooting for people to fail we damn sure wouldn't be cursing when he does. I wouldn't break **** when he does, and my stress level wouldn't rise when he does.

Come on man. People just going off what they've seen.

Matt Moore when he earns it. Matt Moore isn't the long term answer but at least it gets Henne out of there and these threads stop. That's what you ultimately want isn't it?

So as soon as Moore screws up its the same thing so your logic is flawed. Some people were angry that we even got Moore so how is that going to make people happy? lol

Because we know what to expect from Henne who has showed little progress in 27 starts.

I think Henne will have zero picks this week, but he's going against one of the worst teams in the league. He better look good because there's no excuses playing against a team that should be beat. We actually have the better matchups up and down the roster against Carolina. Unless Cam Newton goes off the hook and DeAngelo Williams runs hard with the few reps he gets, this should be a good confidence-builder for Henne and the rest of the team.

We don't have anyone else to take Henne's job, that is the fault of the clowns in the FO, who said they would bring in real competition for Henne after last season. We're screwed. Henne being the starter wont change the fact that he sucks, so I don't even know why you're asking me that. And for those saying Henne will only play one quarter, the guy should be playing minimum THREE quarters every preseason. I don't get why we treat him like a true starter. He has so much work to do it's not even funny.

Your logic blah blah blah. Of course that's what's going to happen. But at least it's some change of pace.

Drew Brees, Aaron Rogers, Matt Ryan or Ryan Mallett. Oh wait..........

Don't forget Josh Freeman in 2009 (we easily could've traded up just a few spots for him since we had our 1st and two 2nds (one of which we burned on Pat White).

And don't forget Colt McCoy who we weren't even willing to invest our 3rd rounder into (that went to John Jerry).

Love Freeman and wish we had him more than most other QBs...but Henne's first year was encouraging... so I won't fault any of our "braintrusts" past or present for circumstantially passing on him. Because he was sitting right there at 17 where he was slated to go, I do think that ultimately it will blow back on Tannenbaum trading up for a reach and passing up someone who has the potential to be the best QB coming out since AAron Rodgers.

Now last year and McCoy in the 3rd.. that one I would agree with you. However even on the heels of that, (and I'm saying this as someone who's more homeristic and presently while on FH, having chill flashbacks to my ex wife's incessant, redundant whining, harping and complaining), -even from my POV, it's really unforgivable passing up Mallett, who talent wise some said was a top 5 pick, AFTER they got their beloved lineman. That one is ****ing ponderous.

The night we watched him go to NE (where admittedly he's better off in every respect but ego) I predicted that this one would come back to haunt us maybe to the level of Brees as a second rounder - although IMO, the granddaddy of screwing the pooch was Saban and his love for p/t SEC RBs
