Would the addition of Moreno in some games this year helped the Fins close it out in the 4th? Is it 1,2,3,4.. games?

He probably helps us close out the Packers and Lions game and maybe the Broncos game.

Would we actually have stuck with him the way we did in that first Patriots game? I think that's the bigger question.

Lamar Miller played very well this year when we used him to rush the ball. We typically just didn't use him enough, IMO.

Saying Moreno winning these close games takes the heat off the coach. I'll say that even with Moreno, Failbin still under-coaches us.

I remember when Ricky Williams ran for 1850 YDs for us. We still didn't make the playoffs.

Once again we had an injury and refused to replace a player. Moreno was part of the entire season's game plan. Shortly after he went down, Ben Tate and Lagarett Blount were FREE AGENTS. Blount would have been a perfect fit. Instead he was picked up by the Cheatriots and the rest is history. Way to go Phins management. Tired of seeing teams all season addressing needs and filling holes, while the Dolphins just throw in their 5th string water boy! :napoleon:

They were waived and had to go through waivers. Only Blount would have been available as he made it through waivers. Tate was claimed. I doubt Blount would have us talking playoffs right now.

If we could have one player back who could have really made a difference I'm going with Albert. Moreno maybe could have helped win another game or something but with the O Line situation who knows.

Yeah, Ben Tate is AWESOME! (3.1 yd avg. in Cleveland, and 2.9 in Minnesota this year)
Legarett Blount actually quit on his team, walked off the field, and took a shower before the game ended.

These would have been MASSIVE upgrades!!! :bobdole:

It wasn't "shortly" after Moreno went down either. Moreno was injured in the second game, missed 3 games and was then promptly injured in his first game back, which was game 6. I don't think Blount and Tate didn't hit the waiver wire until like week 12.

I don't see that he would have made that huge of a difference. Miller has balled out this year and shown he has legitimate talent. The Moreno we saw in that first game was hopped up on adrenaline and emotion from it being his first game, I honestly don't see that having sustained the season. His biggest impact would have been blocking, but I still don't see how that would have changed much given that there are usually 3 guys running over our line and he couldn't do anything about that.

I don't take the heat off anyone, but I say having Moreno healthy and in the mix would have gotten another 2-3 wins.
We had some close games that he could have tipped the scales in our favor on.

The question ought to be, "How many more games does Branden Albert help Fins win this year?"
