Now please, I don't want to hear that our players could be starting for the Raiders or the Giants. The question is for the purpose of finding out if our problem are because of coaching, players or maybe both. I'll admit I haven't been happy with Gase and Burke but I started thinking also about our roster and I have to tell you, it's not very good at this point. There are some young players that have a chance to get better but at THIS point, which players do we have that would be starting in most teams in the NFL?

Howard
Tunsil

Those two would be starting for just about any team.

Minkah would probably be starting for several teams which is crazy that he's not always on the field for us.
Before the season started I thought for sure that Quinn would be on this list but right now he's not imo.

Am I missing anyone? I believe Wilson(I know he's on IR) would be a part of the passing game for most teams.

I just don't see anyone else at this point but this is just my opinion.

Not to sound homer-ish, but it's hard to say for "most" teams. That implies only those players who are All-Pro or almost All-Pro. Not many of 32 teams have many of those players.
How many Dolphins would start for over half the teams?
Tunsil, Wilson, Amendola, Stills, X, Fitz, without question. And that's not counting guys like Sitton who are injured. Then we have the rotational guys who would get spots on half the teams, but maybe not 'start.' Drake comes to mind although he may start for half the teams. I dunno. And guys like Baker, who may be on that list in 2-3 years, but need some experience and time in an NFL weight room. I've said a couple of times, EVERY team has a lot of average players. Good coaches and schemes can get them to be productive. Miami has some average players. All in all, Miami is not as devoid of talent as some like to imply.

So you feel the problem is coaching then?

So you feel the problem is coaching then?

A qualified 'yes'.' I don't want to give the impression it is ONLY a coaching problem, but, as I said elsewhere, give Reid or BB the SAME personnel and Miami would be at least 6-2.

Tunsil, James, Drake/Gore, Amendola, Stills on offense -Likely one of the guards or Center (not everyone has all studs or no injuries up front)
Quinn, Wake, Kiko, Jones, minka, Howard, Mccain.
Pre injury Hayes, sitton, Kilgore, Wilson

The Fins cant draft.... You can ask the question how many different ways you like... It's as simple as that... The Fins cant draft...

I think thats accurate. Whats sad is the Fins have more trouble drafting early than late.

I'll use top 3 rounds for "early"
Early picks include Parker, harris, Gesicki, Dion Jordan, Juwan James, Raekwon Jordan Phillips, Jonathan Martin, Caroo, Egnew, Tankersley, jamar taylor, Dallas Thomas etc The best 2 picks were those that "fell in their lap" Tunsil and Minka. They did hit on X howard in rd 2 and Drake in rd 3 also

However, they have done ok drafting later- Jones, Ajayi, Godcheaux (5th) Taylor (6th) Grant (6th) Mccain (5th), Lamar Miller (4th), Rishard Matthews (7th)

By most teams I will go with over half.
QB - Tannehill probably starts for a 1/4 of teams so no
RB - Drake would start or be part of a committee on most teams so I'd give him a yes. Gore would be tight but hes proved valuable
WR - Stills, Wilson and Amendola would all be a top 3 WR on almost every team. Problem is they would most likely be the third WR on most teams. But I give all three a yes, Parker and Grant are close
TE - Gesicki is young so at this moment no but I think that will change in 2/3 years
O-Line - Tunsil and Sitton (if healthy) are sure bets, James would be close but I think he would too.
D-Line - At this point Wake and Quinn would be rotational pieces for most teams. Taylor and Godchaux are young with potential but wouldn't say yes at this point
LB's - Kiko would most likely start on most teams, he's our best LB, if he was our second or third best people wouldnt hate him as much
Secondary - Howard and Jones are for sure's. Fitz I would say yes as well. McCain would be a slot corner for most teams but we use him on boundary because we so smart. I'd say yes to all 4 though, we just use them completely wrong. McDonald is out of position so he gets hate but he was a good SS in LA.

So in the end, I would say Drake, Stills, Wilson, Amendola, Tunsil, Sitton, James, Kiko, Howard, Jones, McCain and Fitz are all starters on most teams in the NFL (I consider slot WR and slot CB to be starters). We have some talented players on the roster. Obviously we have holes but on D I think it's way more a scheme issue and our D-line getting no pressure. Our secondary would look alot better imo if they played man coverage more and had a dline that could get pressure. Sitting in zone with 0 pressure is just a recipe for disaster.

Tunsil, James (he's top half of RTs in the NFL), Howard, Jones, and Fitzpatrick. Everyone else would be rotational players.

Jones, thats it.
the others may go start in their first year but by the end of the year theyll riding the bench and by year 2 they would be gone.

Tannehill could probably start with a team where everybody in the team is first tean all star.
