How many of you will get a #5 Vick jersey if he is our starter in 3-4 years?

The bottom line is we are all fans and if Charles Manson would lead us to a super bowl win as our qb I would love him for it.

It is not our job to judge the players for their off field lives. We love the team and if Vick can help "THE TEAM" down the road then bring him in.

Are all of you moral fin fans saying that at 20 years old you never did a few stupid things? The difference is that you were not an elite athlete and not under a microscope every day.

He won't be and no I would'nt.
You can bank on it.
and yes, I love the TEAM, that's why I HATE that Marcus Prick is going to be around to tarnish it.
A few stupid things..... :rolleyes2

that guy will never be the Dolphins starting QB

I did plenty of stupid things when I was 20, but I didn't get a handout college degree with walk thru classes or get free passes every time I got arrested, & I didn't get rewarded with a multi-million dollar contract...

I think if he were a running back or a linebacker, most people would be much more forgiving, but the QB is the leader of the team & he represents the rest of the players & our city to some degree.

Believe it or not he has not exactly exhibited leadership qualities so far in his LIMITED college career....:shakeno:

I dunno about that Manson comment though I'm sure you were exaggerating to clarify, but yeah, all these fools making noise about Vick's off field issues are the first in line to pucker up if he'd become a star. So many people 2 years ago HATED, DETESTED, ABHORRED Ricky Williams. This year, the majortiy of you are ready to burn the NFL for the ruling on him. AND DON'T EVEN COME TO ME WITH "IT WASN'T ME BRO, I DIDN'T HATE HIM" or "I STILL DON'T CARE ABOUT WILLIAMS" cuz it's all a bunch mularkey and I'm not talkin about Mike. By the way, when was the last time the great character guys on our team led us to a super bowl? And that includes Zach THomas and JT. Yeah, I love those guys. Would I trade them for a superbowl? In a heart beat.

"IF" he makes this team what position will he play?? He will never be a pro QB.
We have plenty of competition at the WR position, no luck there. I don't see a position on the team worthy of a roster spot, so your accusation is rather pointless. Just because we are fin fans doesn't mean we have to love every player that joins the team. Do you own a Seth McKinney jersey????...No?? Hypocrite!!!

I think there's been a avalanche effect with the hate being shown for Vick on this board. I blame the never ending media coverage on anything that is even remotely intersting. These guys would love to be able to film and write a story about someone like Vick taking a crap. I'm not saying he's a model citizen, but it's like Marcus stole some of your guys babies. "He's the devil", "I wish death upon my grandmother if Vick signs with the fins", relax guys, were not trusting him with the keys to JT's house. He's being invited to camp. Get a grip everyone.

You are right. I say let's not limit recruiting to college football, scouting combines and the free agent market. Time to start searching the jails and prisons as well. I'm sure Al Qaeda and the Taliban have a few good kickers out there somewhere. If winning is the only thing that matters and if character is not an issue, who cares if we sign murderers, thieves, drug dealers and child molesters?

Vick currently is problematic at best. However, if he matures both on and off the field into a good player and team member and people start to support him wouldn't that make them converted or won over more than hypocritical? He is coming in with a bad rep and has to re-earn respect that he has lost in his college career. Maybe he can, maybe he can't. Only time will tell.

If, and I do mean If!!! Marcus Vick makes this roster or even the practice squad, it will be as a 3rd down back and kick and punt returner. I have to admit from watching him play, he is a good athlete and he can out move a bunch of college linemen and lbs. But at 6" 200 pounds, not a QB. Give a chance at Minor's role, that third down back and kick returner and special teams person. See what he is made of.

Or Presidents for that matter. Don't forget to list the White House as a possible search site. Heck, if we enlist the help of the CIA we'll be champs before openning day.

Amen

I responded similarly to a post the other day.

All these weenies are judging a kid who admittedly has some emotional issues and acted out on his immaturity.

Not one of those weenies can say they are without blame for similar transgressions.

I hope Vick turns his life around and the Dolphins get a game breaker.

Count me out.. no way will i buy his jersey...

The problem with having a player on your team that the fans hate is that they are always looking for a reason for him to fail.

See, you obviously have your head screwed on right. Why, if you were a DOLPHIN FAN would you want the kid to fail instead of turn his life around and become a future star for this team? Know why? Cuz yall thrive on negativity. Miami fans love nothing more than to have something to moan about. It's tradition around here. Just look how peeps have ripped the Heat and they are on there way to round 2 against a team they sweeped last year. You all love it. WHINE WHINE WHINE, CRY, CRY, CRY.
