How many of you realize....

I saw the superbowl wins but it doesn't do us any good now.....everything we do doesn't mean anything on sundays....when we lose a game we still lost the game....they don't give us a tie just cause we've been to the superbowl 5 times.

Ozzy rules!!

and for any Dolphin fan under 30 years old (like me), we haven't seen a single super bowl appearance. 1984 doesn't count because we were not born yet or were in diapers.

There is a big rift between older Dolphin fans and younger Dolphin fans. The older keep reliving the glory days and at least feel content with having seen a winning team. The younger fans.......well, you know.

Trust me bro I am in no way content,
I'm not getting any younger

I suppose that is a novel way of looking at it. I can't say as I saw it that way before.

Doesn't make our current situation any better, just threw it out there. I was actually surprised myself, never really saw it that way.

Makes it seem like a lot of teams in the NFL are pathetic then

How bout it

Makes it seem like a lot of teams in the NFL are pathetic then

I've been making this point over and over and over.

Out of 32 teams, only 1 wins a SB.
In the grand scheme of things, the Phins are at the top all time in regards to success. Our's just came early on.....and I do think it will eventually come back to us.

It's as much luck as anything it seems.

The freakn Patriots currently have 15 UDFA's on their roster. Some tout that as genius, but if it was genius, they would've been drafting those players, or just trading their draft picks away all together if they knew in advance that was their secret to success.
Just as how Brady has turned out, it was the luck of the draw.

How many of those UFDA'S are on that defense?

I don't know...I think those of us that remember 1972 and the glory days, have a much higher standard for this football team and accept mediocrity much less than the younger fans.

Here are some accomplishments....a little homerism, but they are facts, so...

1. In the very exclusive club of 5 SB or more club.

And not one since 1985.

2. Top 5 in winning % in the NFL (as of last year).

Dunno if this still holds up. Better comparison would be winning percentage since 1966, anyways. I would imagine the Steelers, Cowboys, Broncos, Niners, and Patriots might be higher than the Dolphins if we only go back to 1966.

4. Had arguably the best HC/QB combination ever.

Nope, that would go to Belichick/Brady.

5. Had argubaly the Greatest Center to play the game.

Whoa, we had Mike Webster?
