How many other teams would have sporano as their hc and henne as qb? Answer= 0

Hennes not as bad as people here make him out to be. I feel like alot of people only watch highlights on sportscenter and see these other QBs completing long TD passes. They dont watch the whole game and see all the bad throws they make as well. Henne is not the only QB in this league who makes a handful or more of bad throws per game. QBs like Rodgers, Brady, Brees, etc are clearly in their own category and im not talking about them here.

Sanchez, Bradford, Alex Smith, Kolb, Cutler etc all make bad throws often, just like Henne. Yet, when you turn on NFL Network all they show you is Sanchez's 30yd td pass to Holmes or Kolb throwing a td to Fitzgerald. Yea of course you see them throw an int too once in awhile on there but they dont show you the passes Sanchez or Cutler throw over his receivers head. They dont show you Bradford throwing balls out of reach of his open receivers.

All of these middle tier QBs make bad throws. The difference is you watch a whole game of Henne and a 30 second clip of these other guys.

Seriously folks, how many teams would have hired an Offensive Line coach with no experience as even a coordinator to be there head coach? The answer is only the Dolphins because Bill Parcells put him there... Thanks to Bill for the LEFTOVER TUNA!!!
Next question, which other QB in the league would you prefer to have Henne over? Until this weekend i would have said Colt Mccoy or Tavares Jackson but both those cats got wins.... Henne lost to the browns 2 years in a row with Senecca Wallace and Colt Mccoy.... That is unbelievable!!!
I've seen enough in 3 years to know that i dont want him as my qb... so what if he gets lucky once in a while with an accurate throw, he sucks as a starting qb in the NFL.

Finally, yes our home field advantage is non-existent but what do you expect the fans to get pumped up for? Stephen Ross is being cheap and I cant wait till we see the empty stadium the rest of the season. Maybe then he will get the picture, stop screwing your fans over year after year!!!!

Since others have done a fantastic job of breaking down the QB situation, I'll do the coaching.

Just over the last 10 years:

Jim Zorn
Lane Kiffin
John Harbaugh
Rod Marinelli
Jim Harbaugh (no NFL coordinator experience)
Eric Mangini (1 yr coordinator experience)
Mike Tomlin (1 yr coordinator experience)

If I step a little out of the decade, Andy Reid.

List of starting QBs who are a clear DOWNGRADE from Chad Henne AT THIS POINT IN TIME:
Mark Sanchez (sorry, but this is the truth. Watch this clown play)
Andy Dalton (could be better down the road... who knows)
Colt McCoy
Kerry Collins/Curtis Painter
Josh McCown/Blaine Gabbert (see Dalton for Gabbert)
Matt Hasselbeck
Matt Cassel
Jason Campbell
Rex Grossman
Donovan McNabb
Kevin Kolb (Yes, I said it. Watch this guy. He SUCKS.)
Alex Smith
Tarvaris Jackson

That's 13 teams.

List of guys who IMO are no better than Henne/Not a CLEAR upgrade:
Kyle Orton
Jay Cutler
Everyone's favorite QB Matt Ryan. This dude is simply not that good. Watch him play football and sling inaccurate passes all over the field. Henne gets criticized for ball placement on catches that prevent YAC but this dude places balls where they cannot even be caught by WIDE open WRs.
Josh Freeman (almost made the other list)
Sam Bradford (only 2nd year, so give him a break, but currently having equal/worse red zone issues to Henne)

By my count that's 18 teams that are no better off.

:sidelol:

Then I guess half the teams in the NFL are starting backups. Everyone absolutely wants a Rodgers, a Brady, or a Matt Stafford, but there are only so many of those guys in the league right now. The front office of the Miami Dolphins needs to do everything in its power to acquire someone of this caliber, but in the mean time it could do much worse than Chad Henne. For example, it could spend $65 million, a 2nd round pick, and a starting-caliber cornerback on Kevin Kolb and be locked into poor to mediocre quarterback play for the next six years.

The flood of threads acting like he's Luke McCown or Tarvaris Jackson and would start on no other team in the NFL are comical.

Yes. Half of the league's starters are no better than some back-ups. But, that's not our problem and we shouldn't be satisfied with that answer. We need an excellent GM, an excellent HC and an excellent QB. That's what should satisfy us.

Excuses, excuses defenses will not always be perfect. Henne got the ball back with 30 something seconds in the 50 yard line with 1 timeout and we could not move the ball 14 yards to kick a field goal are u serious and Marshall and Bess are our receivers! Any other QB would not moved the ball 14 yards, but would had moved it 25 yards down the field for a fieldgoal to win the game!

So COlt Mccoy moved the ball 80 yards in 1:55 mins and scored a beatiful TD and we could not even move it 12 yards having enought time and a timeout!! WOw BIg FAIL!!
Henne and the entire offense choked like we have seen before!!! like they choked vs. new england week one on the 1 yard line when he threw at Hartline for an impossible catch. Its over man Sparano needs to get out of here and Im looking foward to Luck!
Ive heard and said statements like that too many times for me to have faith in Henne at all. Wins some games as a second year (1st year playing) qb, and hasnt been able to win one since. Not even get us in to field goal range to win one.

:sidelol:

Wait you're right, my bad, Henne is certainly clearly worse than that list. Put any of them at the helm and this is easily a 3-0 team. Hell, Matt Hasselbeck might have shotputted his way to 3-0 and be an early MVP candidate. Either that or he'd be in the hospital with conspiracy to commit attempted murder charges pending against Marc Colombo. Not sure which.

Carry on.

Dalton, McCoy, Hasselbeck, Sanchez, Campbell, and Kolb>Henne. Maybe even Grossman and Cassel too. As for his list of guys that are "no better than Henne," he should immediately be banned for stupidity.

Freeman, Ryan, Cutler, Orton, and Bradford>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Henne.

Chadwick is so goddamn awful it's hard to put into words. You all are seduced by his arm strength, but the man still can't throw a touch pass and he's just flat-out stupid--and that stupid expression is cemented on his face.

His touch passes are actually a lot better than they were..But the kid can only improve on one thing a year.. He stares down targets..He has not anticiaption what so ever..He makes stupid throws and does not give his players a chance..

Fixed, because even though he slightly improved from last year ... it only made him a slightly better back-up.

 Wow, hatred is at an epic point around here. I really think people are hoping to see him fail, rather then be wrong about him....Very sad.

i still believe henne is on the verge. this offense was put together overnight with players not practicing. Henne is still dealing with communication issues and rookies he cannot count on too much right now. I do think this offense will get better. I still have faith in that but it requires daniel thomas being consistent, so far so good, Gates make an impact, so far zero, and clay is invisible. clay was the guy who was going to be red zone threat.

One thing I have a problem with, or two. bush needs to be big part of big play offense, missing last two games, but henne is looking to the well too much in crunch time. marshall. he needs to get back to bess and bush.
