In order to go to a 6 team division or a 5 team ddiivisions ? I am asking because i am ready for some changes because i am sick of the traditions excuse besides new blood would help us geographicly and ecconomicaly .

here is how i would arrange things if i had a say in things.

I would move Oakland to the nfc and seattle back to the afc .

i would like to see this
afc south Jax , miami , tenn and the colts

afc north Baltimore , Pats, Bills and Cinci

afc east Steelers, Cleveland , Jets and kc or another team

afc west Seattle , San Diego , Denver and Houston

but thats if we dont add or subtract any teams.
so i am just wondering how many teams would it take to go to a 5 or 6 team divisions ? i like to see new rivialrys because I think sports fans are rreally bad about be close minded and there isnt much going on right now.

That would never happen because of the present rivalries.

It's true. If the Oakland and San Diego fans didn't get to stab one another, what would they bother going to the games for?

As GoFins wrote, there's no way the NFL would take certain teams away from the division rivalries they currently 'enjoy'. No Dolphins v Jets? While they might (in retrospect) have enjoyed that more in the past few years than what actually transpired, it's one a lot of people here get fairly passionate about and would hate to see go.

Dont agree with your outcomes but I do like the principle of your idea. I have always believed that the closer teams are too each other, the bigger the rivalery will be.

I have always found the AFC/NFC divide strange. I know the history and all that but when AFC and NFC teams play each other in the regular season does it not defeat the purpose of the conferences?

I mean does any team really what to try and win the conference championship and give it a go in the Superbowl? There is very little glory in winning your Conference, if you dont win the big one.

Never going to happen. they have been trying to get a team LA and that is taking forevery. Now the rams , jags are up for sale. dolphins sold half the team. the bills have been running a show where they are trying to play and get some fans over in canada. i do not see how they will find more people to invest for a entire new team. i think in the next few years the league will actually shrink.

When the NFL decides it is time to expand, the next logical step is 36 teams, an addition of four more teams. It would probably be done by adding two teams and then a couple years later two more teams. Each conference could have three divisions of six teams each. There's a few ways they could add one or two more games to the schedule with that many teams too.
