How many times we've had the 1st overall pick?

First time with the #1 overall pick since the merger. We had the #1 and #2 overall selection in the 1966 AFL draft.

since this is our 1st time, is there any other team who has never had the 1st overall pick?

I don't believe the Packers have ever had the pick. I think their highest was #2 in '89 when they picked Tony Mandarich. I don't know that the Steelers ever have either.

Once, and it was in 1996.

Bills have had it four times since the merger and five times overall. The Patriots have also had it four times since the merger and five times overall.

Nah, they had it back to back in '96 & '97; Parcells traded out his first year in '97.

The Packers had the #1 in 1957 and 1959 and Pittsburgh drafted QB Terry Bradshaw #1 in 1970.

From what I can see the only teams that never had a #1 are Denver, Seattle, Jacksonville (expansion) and Carolina (expansion).

Didn't Seattle win 2 games in like '92 or '93. I'd think they would have had the first pick after that season

EDIT: New England and Seattle both won 2 games in '92. Pats picked Bledsoe, Seahawks picked Mirer.

Man, I miss those days when the AFC had cupcakes like that

Carolina went 1-15 the Texans expansion year, so they got the number two pick and picked Peppers. Even though they were the worst team.

out of the last 10 years the manning brothers and maybe palmer are the only two really worth it... williams is starting to prove it as well
