I am going to guess 44. This is of course contingent on him starting all 16 games.
Should he fail to start all 16 games for whatever reason, be it injury or demotion, that is a 2.75 sack per game rate which can be applied to the number of games he starts. In the event he does not start 16 games, substitute that 2.75 per game rate for my guess.
I expect the OL to be somewhat improved, but Tannehill is still a sack taker. Aside from the huge upgrade at LT, another variable which may come into play is Tannehill running with the ball more often. It seems this strategy could come into effect more this season, as it should. Tannehill is a good athlete with above average speed and agility for a QB. An increased number of rushing attempts by not only the RBs, but Tannehill himself, should help cut the number down a bit as well as improved pass blocking.
