How many wins for Philbin to keep his job?

If Harbaugh leaves SF ... 10 wins and a play-off berth.
If Harbaugh stays at SF ... 9 wins.

Playoffs or gtfo

So playoffs = meciocrity...got it.
When you have a talented GM, OC, and you're in a weak afc yet your wildest aspiration is a 1st round playoff exit then yeah that's mediocrity. Creeping into the playoffs is philbin's ceiling. But the reaction you just had of being overly impressed by it is the same trap Ross would probably fall into.

WTF ever dude...never said any of that, but inflect away. If you must know, my minimum aspiration for this year is a playoff win. I'd be overly impressed with a few wins and an AFCG appearance.

And please...show me how consistently making the playoffs equal mediocrity?

Well, he was 8-6 with the worst GM in the league, a crappy OC and an average QB.
