I'm sure this has been asked before but i was just wondering, with the recent discussion on JT chasing the all time sack record how many years these guys have left...It pains all of us that Dan never got back to a super bowl and i just hope Cam/Mueller get things turned around in time for Zach and JT to reap the benefits that they deserve

That is the question. That discussion got me thinking about that, too. I have to think that based on the physical toll his position takes that Zach has 3 more years at the most. JT is exactly one year younger; he and ZT share the same birthday of Sept 1, according to NFL.com. Somehow JT seems a little more youthful, so he could play 5-6 more years, but I don't really think he will elect to play more than 3 more. Maybe he and Zach will retire at the same time.

i think it depends on this year, if he have another 6-10 season they could both be gone, if we show some promise of a turn around they could be around a few more years

Jason Taylor said he will play three more seasons. So he is done after the 09' season.

That would be so fitting, after we win the bowl the '08 or '09 season, they both hang um up together...

I couldn't agree more. I think if we can pull off a bowl win for these two guys, then all the crappy seasons that they as players and we as fans have had to endure, would be a fitting farewell.

I love both of them and hate to even think of them hanging up the cleats. But with that said I would be surprised if Zach is still playing in 09 and JT perhaps 1 year more than that. Zachs body has taken a beating and won't last much longer. If we turn things around and start winning (please, please, please) then maybe JT stays 3 to 4 more years as he chases some records, especially if Dom Capers stays as defensive cordinator.

Last year, Zach played all 16 games for the first time. Better with age? :)

Zach will retire when he feels like his game is going down, he'll not be a Junior Seau. Zach is the kind of guy who wants to be at the top of his game, or not in the game at all.

Hasn't Zach said he is in the best shape of his career?
