How Menatally Tough are the Fins?

Lol dont you realize?? its not about the coach.. its not about the players.. the owner.. it just happens.. If you don't see that by now your blind. Can't blame the coach the GM the QB the WR the anybody.. its so much deeper than that its been so evident over the past decade +

huh?

16-3 lead turns into a 20-16 loss. The insane field goal the Dolphins gave up at the end of the first half portended failure. Talk about prevent defense.

Everyone rightfully blames Filbin, Sherman, Jim Turner and Zak Taylor as offensive coaches. It's justified.

No points in the second half. There are some serious second half trends.

Just mentally weak. Stems from the top.
Do you think it's at all possible that a physically superior team came into the game mentally complacent, got down on the scoreboard at the half, and then "woke up," became non-complacent, turned it on physically, and simply won the game?

Where is the convincing evidence that losing a game in which a team is ahead is a sign of "mental weakness"? Why can't it simply be physical weakness?

We got beat by a better team today. Coaching strategy was awful, too.

I agree completely about the lack of mental toughness. If it was one game where we gave up the lead and lost, that's one thing. It's not one game though, this is a trend for this team. We've often played well in the first half and come out FLAT in the second with absolutely nothing. No adjustments, no spark, no emotion. Nothing. It's actually quite disturbing to think that we can be up on Carolina like that and NOT come out on fire in the second looking to keep it going.

It all started with that lame defensive stand to end the first half. They were simply pedestrian with no urgency. That carried over into the second half when we couldn't even muster a FG. Heck, we didn't even get into position to attempt a reasonable FG. I've said it before, but there is NO leadership on this team. You can't rely on Tannehill as a second year QB and you sure as heck can't rely on the coaching staff. This team is like a boat floating adrift at sea without engine power or a captain.

Nope. This game was the epitome of mental toughness being necessary to close a team out. Where was the awareness of knowing a TD in the red area at the end of the half could win the game? Where was the understanding of not letting Carolina score at the end of the half? Where was the killer instinct the 4th down throw to Steve Smith? Where was the defense refusing to let the Panthers score a TD and at least force Carolina to a FG?

What about the other team out there that was presumably trying at least equally as hard to win the game, and, going by its record, has superior physical talent?

This team is lead in shabby fashion and it starts with Joe Philbin.

Well that can certainly be your opinion, of course, but I think you're starting to see "evidence" of it just about everywhere, even in things that are explained at least equally as well by other factors and variables.
