both are free agents next season. I know we must keep them both but the question is how many years and how much money??
My take:
for welker: 5 years 12m 2.4m/y
for bell: 4years 10m 2.2m/y

Are that fair contracts for both?? what do u think the're worth and which type of contract u think they will receive??

Probably around that.....and they will probably get huge signing bonuses to give them an extra incentive $$$$

I would need Bell to stay healthy for another year before giving him a long term deal. I think other teams would look at his injury history and do the same. Hopefully he will sign a "team friendly" deal for another year. His options are going to be somewhat limited.

Welker is a more difficult decision......

with the way welker has played for the dolphins, he deserves it. he sticks out every game. remember when he did it all one game last year i think, kicked a fg, kicked off, kickoff return, punt return, caught a pass, and whatever else he did it was unheard of in the nfl thats all i know. welker needs to stay on this team. it will also show the other players what hardwork will do.

Don't think either will get 5 years .... albeit, in the NFL -- the length of contract is absolutely irrelevent [with the lone exception being the proration of the signing bonus] ...

They will both get re-signed but both will have a lot of incentives in their contract and will have to get most of their money on what they accomplish on the field but I think both will be back next year.

yah your right, thanks. welker is one of my favorite players now. maybe its just me, but it just seems like welker tries harder at everything. chambers looks like he doesnt. i dont watch much post game film though either.

I honestly dont know but its going to make the offseason awfully intresting isnt it? As much as we all love Bell he has been hurt a lot and I dont know what his NFL value is going to be, he might not end up costing us all that much actually to sign long term.

both should be resticted free agents, so re-signing them won't be that difficult this year. The year after will be.

Wes Welker reminds me of one of those football players on that TV show "Friday Night Lights" if you've seen it.

Wes is quite a story. He's overcome a heck of a lot of odds just to be in the NFL at all, much less do well in it. I like to root for underdog type guys like him. I read this story a month ago about him. It said that Wes is one of those guys that can learn a new skill or a new sport and be damn good at it in just a month or so. He's what you call a "natural" ... a "gamer". He's used to blowing people's minds and showing up the people who say he can't do something. Kevin Carter said he was his favorite player on the team.

Yeremiah Bell is a heck of a story too. He overcame a lot of odds too just to be in the NFL also. Now he's a starter. YB has definitely paid his dues. He's worked pretty hard for years to get where he is right now.
