I'm with the majority in making a number of changes. However, what does it say of the players we have in not showing up for two HUGE games to get into the playoffs, and I'm talking most of the team with many playing for new contracts?

Can they not motivate themselves to win or, at least to make millions of dollars? Aside from Wake who gives his all every game, few others showed up in the last two games. Can they not handle any pressure?

i would say the majority of the blame goes on the players.

at the end of the day, they r the ones who go out there and either execute or dont.

while u can make an argument its a coaches job to have the players prepared and motivated, if these players can not be motivated on there own knowing that they needed 2 wins and they would then be 1 of 12 teams in the nfl to have the chance of hoisting the lombardi trophy in feb, then we have a bunch of weak ass players.

the players deserve the majority of the blame.

while coaching deff can be better, at end of the day, coaching especially on professional levels usually get to much credit when things r good, and too much blame when things r bad.

I couldn't see the Buffalo game because it was blacked out here. But I would've been blowing a gasket watching Hartline drop all those passes.

Sometimes coaches can draw up plays, but if the players can't execute **** hits the fan. Coaches and Ireland get a lot of blame, justifiably so.

But succedss of failure is a complete organizational responsibility. Players need to be held accountable just as much.

They simply got outplayed the last 2 weeks. Pathetic.

Its both players and coaches. It was a complete choke job the final 2 weeks by the miami dolphins organization. Just like we always do.

Players lose games. Look at Houston who lost more games and have the first pick. they have lots of talent and still were terrible. A new QB will change all that. There HC was fired.

Look at our OL. the worst OL in the NFL. Whos fault is that?
Whose Fault is it that we dont have a FB that can help team make 3rd and one?
Whose fault is it that After Miller we dont have a good RB?
Clay is our best playmaker and he is an H-back.

Whos fault is it that our Run defense turned out to be one of the worst in the NFL yet the majority of our salary dollars is in that front 7?

I can't take any shots at Tannehill in his second year. It would not be fair, and I believe he will be VG or better, although many may disagree.

I can take shots at Pouncey, Starks, Soliai, Odrick, and a bit less on Grimes, Wallace, Clemons, Carroll, etc. They did nothing to help us win. Add in special teams, who have absolutely SUCKED this year, after playing VG last year.

As somebody said, if the players can't execute and are "weak ass players," you blame the person who brought them here, Ireland.

You're not going to win many games with your QB playing to a 40 passer rating.

The math is very simple:

Our QB played the second worst games of his career + their QB played the best game of his career = a loss

Wake didn't make a single play in the last two games of the season. I love the guy, but he didn't have a great season, unfortunately.

Well, regardless of whether you think you should take shots at him at this point in his career, the fact still remains that it's going to be exceedingly difficult to be any better than average as a team when your quarterback is playing no better than average, and in some important ways below average.

So hold Tannehill "sacred" or "untouchable" if you will, but realize that quarterback play of his ilk is strongly associated with no better than average overall team play, the inevitable exceptions to the rule notwithstanding.

You could also point to the record breaking 58 sacks he`s taken and just maybe take it into account... Now you might say some of them are on him, but do you really think Tannehill has the WORST pocket awareness of any QB that has played for the Fins ever?

Tannehill dropped back to pass 603 times this year without being sacked. According to PFF, on 400 of those dropbacks he wasn't pressured, which was no different a percentage of pressured dropbacks than the league norm.

Should we judge his performance on those 400 snaps, and compare him to the other NFL QBs who took similar numbers of non-pressured dropbacks to pass, or should we highlight the sacks he took and act as though there isn't a huge body of other work on his part available by which to judge him?

I put a ton of blame on the players. There have been some ****ing costly penalties these past two games. One in particular against Wheeler in the Buffalo game when we got them on a 3 n out, but he had a penalty to keep a drive a live. And another in the Jets game though I forget who and the situation.

Ok so then lets just pull out the QB rating when the QB isn't being pressured, that would accomplish exactly that...No? But even then pressures are subjective, what I really want you to tell me is, is Ryan Tannehill`s pocket awareness so bad its record breaking bad....(no pun intended)
