How much help can we expect from McIntosh?

I don't think that we should look for the difference McIntosh will make in this game. He's bound to be rusty as he didn't have a training camp and is not in top shape.

But, the biggest reason is that OL play is, for the most part, a "unit" play. It will take some time for this OL to gel as a unit. But, I think once they do, they will be a very good OL. There's more talent, size and speed on this OL than last year's. By the end of the year, if they remain healthy, I think they'll be solid. I also think they'll be that much better next year with a new OL coach and a new and improved head coach.

Btw, has anyone noticed all the interest shown in the guys the Dolphins released? How about the play of those guys on their other teams ... Oh, wait, they're not playing for anyone???? Oooops!

hey Ohiophinphan,

I'm from Ohio too, live in Tampa now.

Who is Karen Hunsinger ?

If it's not my business, sorry.

Karen Louise Hunsinger was my wife of 31 years. After battling Polio as a child and cancer for the past two years, we lost her last month to Jacob Crutzfeld's disease, a very rare progressive, degenerative, nuerological disease.

I grew up in New Port Richey and graduated from USF. In fact Tampa is where we lived when we were first married.

Thanks for asking................

Ohiophinphan aka Keith A. Hunsinger

that's it

:roflmao: :roflmao:this is always the way to solve football debates. Btw, McIntosh according to madden is 85 and for refrence wade smith is 79

Three reasons why McIntosh could have a big impact:

1) His play alone at one of the most influential positions on the field.

2) His play sets a new "high bar" that the rest of the linemen start playing to.

3) If the offense was demoralized and giving less effort because Wade Smith was undermining even its best efforts, we could see a surge of effort and intensity from the offense.

But I will say this -- all this HAS to happen to recover this season. McIntosh is about the last chance we have to turn this mess around.

(shudder) Yeeesh, those are terrible numbers..

Didn't McIntosh block fairly well for LaDanian Tomlinson in S.D.?

I have heard in the past the he was their best o lineman. LT did run for a whole bunch of yards the last couple of years.

LT doesnt need aall that great of blocking though.
