i do not care about the order they go in i only want your opinion on how much time they will each get. Do you think that each will get about 20 minutes? Or does one get more time and why? if one guy is hot do they let him go alittle longer?

How do you all think the snaps will be spilt?

Good question. Honestly I hope Beck starts. I think he should least go deep into the 2nd quarter. Let McCown take over until late in the 3rd then let hene play out the game. This game... Will be telling for Beck. We know he can throw a nice ball when he's not getting pressured.. but he has to show us something. I would be happy if we at least got into FG range on each drive and no INT's. But one can only hope.

Considering the fact that Sparano has repeatedly said that the starting job is up for grabs, I don't see why each QB won't get 20 minutes of PT. The bigger question for me is who is going to go first? I'm sure Tampa Bay will take out its starters after a while, so the first QB up will get to see a little bit of a first-team defense.

i'd like to see beck get the start and the first half and henne get the 2nd half.

Id like to see Beck go against the other teams starters, not 2nd/3rd stringers.

Honestly I think Josh McCown's probably earned the start. I don't understand this sacrificial lamb mentality where people want the guy that has been the weakest to start first, so that we can put him to bed immediately and move on. It's a fallacy. It's not football, either.

If John Beck has been the weakest in the eyes of the coaching staff, then god damnit, he ought to get the weakest playing time during this game. And, if he wants more in the next couple of games, he'll have to go out and earn it in practice.

THAT is football.

Id like to see Beck against starters because we know he can look good against 2/3 string guys. So him proving that again does what for this qb battle?

I'd like to see the starter get the entire first half for this first game. Since none of these guys has distinguished himself yet, the starter may begin slow or have jitters--but it doesn't mean he isn't the best QB option we have. I want to see if he can settle down after that, or if it never gets any better for him.

I'll agree with you that McCown has earned the start.. but it's not like it's the regular season. As you would agree we're in evaluation mode. There is no other QB that needs more evaluation than Beck. I think the 'sacrificial lamb' analogy is a little strong. It's not like Beck has never started an NFL game. I think we can both agree it won't be Henne. McCown already has plently of NFL experience. IT's Beck everyone truly has to see... so he should be put out there first. IMO anyway.

It probably should be Henne, truthfully. McCown just threw his own equivalent of John Beck's "hat trick" Sunday practice. I don't know why anyone, at this point, would assume one way or the other on whether the coaches have McCown or Beck ahead of one another. From the sound of all these camp reports, Henne just took a commanding lead on both of them.

No way it should be Henne, he is a rookie, he is not going to be the starter this year, so why should he start a pre-season game. he needs to be watching. I think Mcown will get the start, but Beck will get in there in time to play against the starting defense, and then Henne can play the rest of the game against the 3rd stringers.
