say if we got Wilkinson... That would help alot because he could take that DT position freeing up vonnie holliday to take jason taylors RE position and JT could fill that ROLB position .our defense would raise hell ....wat do u guys think ??

it was so long ago its a bit blurry but wasnt he the number 1 pick in the draft of the bengals

Wilkinson and traylor...both well probably only be in on predominantly running plays. As in, if theres a chance there gonna pass, i can't imagine both would be on the field...

which of course doesnt mean anything, but it seemed like for awhile he was considered a bust but towards the latter stages of his career, the light seems to have come on a bit for big daddy, hes going to be a welcome addition to this rotation

i totally agree wilkinson would be an awesome pick up for us i just hope that if we do get him that he is in shape and ready to go by the start of the season

Big Daddy Wilkinson was solid the last 3 years, playing next to Shaun Rogers in the Lions 4-3 scheme. Huge run stopper at around 360 lbs.

Questions are, does he like the idea of switching to Capers 3-4 alignment and playing Nose Tackle, and we already know he does NOT welcome TC drills in the South Florida climate -- which is the reason he is playing a waiting game with Saban.

I think Wilkinson is putting off Camp more out of veteran pride than laziness, he feels he is experienced enough and big enough and talented enough to step right in. Probably correct - he would be a nice pickup. :thumbsup

yeah, he'll be better than winey wright.

battling with depression is a hard thing you shouldnt bring him down when hes goin through tough times ..he needs support not critisism.

hed be a big, maybe key, addition. our dline needs to be absolutely phenominal because our secondary looks weak

I know Wilkinson played well the last few season but if he is as good as some are saying here and would be such a huge addition then why has no one signed him until now?

Yes he does, but what he is doing is absurd. He works for the dolphins and they gave up a 5th rounder to get him. He might be depressed, but i assume he's rational. He is being an idiot.

While I would be happy to have Wilkenson, there is no way it frees up Vonnie Holliday. Wilkenson would split time with Traylor at NT only. I doubt either would see time at any other spot regularly. Holliday is still the other DT or the RDE in the 3-4. Jason Taylor already plays the ROLB in the 3-4 exclusively (when not spelled by Bowens or Ishola) The only time he plays RDE anymore is when we are in the 4-3. Holliday has gotten much too large to play 4-3 DE anymore, imo.
