Now obviously the farther down the draft you go the more difficult it is to predict, but i think the position of choice at each pick is a solid possibly for each. This is how i feel our draft will go:

1. Jake Long - OT - Michigan - 6'7" - 315 lbs

Being our biggest need for sure, the tuna decides to invest #1 money into what we all hope is a franchise left tackle that can help protect and improve the development of Beck. Not to mention add some much needed holes for our promising running game.

2a. Quentin Groves - LB - Auburn - 6'3" - 254 lbs

Bill Parcells wants a fresh young LB to build his defense around for years to come. He absolutely loves big physical athletes which is why Groves fits the mold and Curtis Loften probably isnt on our radar. Also his recent heart issue will hopefully make teams think twice about him so he'll available at #32.

2b. Tracy Porter - CB - Indiana - 5'11" - 185 lbs

The tuna loves him some defense, and he realizes that our pass defense from a year ago was terrible. So he takes the best CB still on the board to play opposite of Will Allen on the edges.

3. Roy Schuening - OG - Oregon State - 6'4" - 316 lbs

With 2 glarring holes in our offensive line, Schuening will fit in nicely. With Albert clearly being the best OG in this years class and going in round 1, it should leave some top notch guards available at this spot since they seem to go a little later then tackles.

4. Martellus Bennett - TE - Texas A&M - 6'6" - 259 lbs

Its no secret that the tuna loves him some tight end either. In NE he had Ben Coates, Dallas he had Jason Witten, and he also drafted some other TE a year or 2 ago in Dallas from Notre Dame. Now i have no idea if Bennett will still be there but it would be an awesome pick if he is since he's huge. He would immediately help in the red zone plus blocking up front.

6a. Kendall Langford - DE - Hampton - 6'5" - 287 lbs

clear.gif

Needing to get more physical and bigger up front with the conversion to the 3-4 defense, Hampton fits in very nicely being 287 lbs. You can never have too many big men up front on defense and we definitely need some help there stopping the run.

6b. Mario Urrutia - WR - Louisville - 6'5" - 232 lbs

clear.gif

Continuing on the big theme, we have a very big receiver who played in an awesome system in college for a receiver. He may not be here this late in the draft but would be a nice addition to a very young receiving core.

7a. Rodrick Johnson - LB - Oklahoma State - 6'2" - 252 lbs

Adding some needed depth to a new 3-4 linebacking core.

7b. Demetrius Bell - OT - Northwestern State - 6'5" - 303 lbs

We need some more depth up front on offense as well.

Nice mock. Check mine out: http://www.finheaven.com/forums/showthread.php?t=218088

Tell me what you think.

I like yours, There is little difference with mine other then the late rounders. But we have the same general idea.

Perfect. I honestly don't know if it could go any better than that for me.

I'm liking the support, now i know the 6th's and 7th's could go any number of ways but i feel really confident about getting a:

OT, LB, CB, OG, TE

all before pick #100 (top of 4). All 5 of which could potentially start from day 1.

I really like some of your picks, but I don't think it's very realistic IMO. Tracy Porter will not be available with our 57th selection,Martellus Bennett won't be available in the 4th round, and Kendell Langford will not be available in the 6th round. But if by some mircle they are, I love your mock draft.

I agree some of the picks are reach, but at #57 i figure either Justin King or Tracy Porter will be there and we'd go with one or the other just went with Porter. Since we're at the top of round 4, a top quality TE will most likely be there for us, and since alot of the TE rankings are all over the place i just went with Bennett. And then as for Langston, I know nothing about and just figure DE would be the way to go there and he seemed to be the biggest near the bottom of the DE rankings i was looking at.

Bennett will not be there in the fourth. Langford will not be there in the sixth. Both players carry 2nd to 3rd round grades as of right now to me.

didnt really read all the posts. just your mock.

It's all good

But to add to the TE pick at the top of round 4 (pick #100). From what i have seen and read there is 4 elite TE's in this draft and every site that ranks them seem to have them all listed differently so its a total crap shoot. Depending on what order they draft i think one of the four should be there with our pick at the top of round 4.

Dustin Keller
John Carlson
Martellus Bennett
Fred Davis

Well you have to look at how they would fit into our offense. Only Carlson and Bennett would be considered TE's in our offense. Dustin Keller and Fred Davis would be considered H-Backs due to their lack of height and not being the best in line blockers. Why its also probable that we see a Brad Cottam or Kellen Davis later in this draft. They fit what the FO wants in a TE. Jermichael Finley is also on the radar but as an H-Back.

I knew Brad Cottam's name would be brought up here evenually because he is so big, but he's played in 42 college games and only has 21 catches with 1 touchdown in ALL OF COLLEGE. I dont trust that at all.

Cottam only played in 12 games his entire college career. Dont know where you got 42 from.

edit: delved into it more. He played in 38 games but didnt play much in the offense. Played special teams and what not. Battled shoulder injuries too.
