I think it is safe to assume that Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin will never play another down for the Miami Dolphins again. Question becomes how severe is this going to get for the rest of the organization?

Media outlets are already connecting Philbin and Ireland to this situation, so it wouldn't shock me to see them get suspended like Goodell did to the Saints. Difference in Miami and New Orleans is that Ross probably would just fire those two if/when they get suspended.

I also wonder what type of fine and draft pick removal the NFL will put on the Dolphins. Do you think we are looking at a first round pick, or multiple mid round picks?

I assume the NFL will want to make the Dolphins an example over the bullying and harassing issue. If the Dolphins do enough to make the playoffs this season, could the NFL banish them from post-season play and go with the next team in line?

The Saints got suspended because they were told to cut it out and DID NOT. The Fins have stepped up and asked the NFL to come in ASAP. Big differences.

Plus, Ross could clean house and rid the organization of the coaching staff and FO if need be.

I think this is really being blown out of proportion.

Either nothing happens or Incognito takes the blame and is cut.

Martin's career is probably over.

You guys don't think Martin would come back if Incog was cut for his behavior? Hasn't he said he would like to be back?

I think of the two, Incog is the one least likely to play in a Fins uni again.

Richie is DONE here.

Martin is probably done here.

Philbin and Ireland are out too, IMO.

Maybe the nfl will make a workplace bullying video and every team will have to watch it before the season. Can we get the incognito's to star as themselves? At least it will be more genuine that way...

Well any concerns about Ireland and Philbin surviving another year can probably be put to rest assuming all of this stuff is true. Ross is gonna have to clean house, not just because of underachieving but because of all the non-football craziness swirling around. This is all speculation but I'm going to guess its better to start clean then suspend these guys and bring them back.

Here is the way I see it

If Philbin(Front Office) knew of the situation and did nothing then yes punishment will be held.
If Philbin(Front Office) knew of the situation and addressed it to the best of their means then I dont know of any NFL Policy or Law that says they have done anything wrong.

As posted on a different thread, same as Incongnito... If it wasnt for the Racial insults then their was nothing the NFL could have done to Incognito. He broke no rules, laws or policies.
But if these racial allegations are true... he is screwed. With reason.

I think it goes something like this:

Martin and Incognito - gone Whether they catch on with other teams, who cares.
Philbin and Coyle - stay
Sherman and Turner - gone, but not for the same reasons. Oh, the official reason will be lack of control or something, but Turner because he's the direct supervisor and Sherman because he's not all that great and it's an excuse to move on. Sherm takes Zac Taylor (QB coach right?) with him.
Ireland - gone Bad stuff is allowed to happen top down. If the GM was doing his job right then everyone below would be held accountable i.e. Turner. This situation is the perfect reason for Ross to make the move to someone else.

So who comes in? Marino at GM? Why would he leave a cushy TV spot? I'd say you probably take a look at prying Nick Caserio out of NE or maybe Charlie Casserly if you wanted a turn key guy.

The Saints had ON THE FIELD issues.
This is an OFF THE FIELD ISSUE.

Why would Dan Marino even be considered for the GM spot?

Where did that come from?
There's been speculation off and on, and discussion here. I think because of how Elway has done in Denver there's a train of thought Marino could bring similar success. Always the comparison you know?

How long do you guys expect the investigation to take? When will Goodell hand out the suspensions and draft pick penalties?

As far as we know this is a player only issue, not with the team.

The only penalty and/or suspension handed out will be to Incognito.

Personally, Incog and Martin NFL career are over. Ireland is on thin ice for this PR nightmare.

Philbin and coaches is a toss up depending on how the rest of the season pans out.
