How should Fins approach final game?

No bye so hmmmmm ... the j train should rest, kiko should rest and matter of fact just my opinion but i play 3rd stringers for this game, post season is guaranteed and if they have any chance it will be long and hard so rest up now

Play to win. You have a chance to get the 5th seed and take home field away from New England. Besides, what message would it send to this team if they took it easy? Beat the pats - period

Really tough matchup for our D but if we can get the win then fantastic.

Still tho - if its the differnce between a healthy ajayi in the playoffs or an ajayi with a bad ahoulder in the playoffs - im not activating Jay or anyone else who can benefit from the rest. Our D in particular needs all the help it can get v Bell and Brown

If NE wins by I'm curious what the team's mindset is going to be. I won't be pissed if they lose but it would have meant NE sweeps and would only further the idea that NE can't be beat this year.

I want to play to win, but we've got many guys that are dinged up. Imagine what another week of rest and healing for Albert, Kiko, and Ajayi would mean. I would not over-extend any of the starters. Let's give Drake, and Williams tons of runs and short passes. Put in Jakeem Grant and Caroo as our primary wide-outs. Rest Landry, Parker and Stills except for a few plays here and there. Mostly for a decoy and blocking for running the ball all day. Let Franks practice kicking field goals all day.

This is the "4th pre-season game". Get ready for Pittsburgh!

I'm not worried about message. I'm concerned about the health of our team. We will not get a bye through the playoffs. This last game is the bye we need to rest our team and clean up some defensive strategies.

Another thing to consider is Gase always talking about how they focus on the next game and let the chips fall. Going to be interresting to see how he adapts/changes his approach with the playoffs clinched.

There is a home game on the line here, so that may be a real factor.

I don't think you can turn the switch to ON or OFF. If we dial it down we may discover that we can't get our intensity up on command for the first playoff game. We've been bad enough at starting games as it is.

IMO, you take the same precautions (Gase has been good about this) with injuries as any other week and you treat this game just like the last few.

That would be my approach as well.

I think you play your starters, but keep track of the number of plays, especially Ajayi. He needs to be fresh for the playoffs. I would keep him at no more than 20 carries.
The odds of getting the 5th seed are pretty slim, unless KC melts down.
