Today's game was precisely the opposite of this recipe. 77% of the offensive plays were dropbacks to pass (only 23% were runs), the adjusted net YPA differential was -0.025 to 5.5 in favor of Buffalo (-0.025 is absolutely horrendous and almost unheard of, by the way), and the defense made no big plays other than the INT that was delivered to Carroll as though it was intended for him.
Notice the result. An absolute embarrassment by a team that isn't very good.
How this team doesn't seem to know itself by now I can't figure out. One would think Mike Sherman would have a better understanding of the kind of gameplan he needed to execute with a developmental QB, a makeshift offensive line, a receiving corps largely new to the team (Wallace and Matthews), and playing against a very good pass rushing defense. This wasn't it.
