How the Dolphins make playoffs, even before finale

We don't really need that. if Baltimore wins out and we win 2 out of 3 Baltimore wins the North and we are 10-6 with Pittsburgh. We would take that due to our head to head win. All scenarios are contingent on Denver losing 2 our of 3 (NE, KC, OAK).
 
To me our easiest path is:

Win at NY and at Buf with Matt Moore (eek).
Denver loses 2 out of 3 (NE, KC, OAK) preferably before Christmas lol.
I think we'd be in regardless of what happened Christmas night:

If Pitt wins Baltimore can't be better than 9-7.
If Baltimore wins we're in a tie with Pit at 10-6 at worst and we take it due to head to head win.

We rest our starters vs NE and get Tanny back for the wild card game (one can dream).

Look at their schedule , that could easily happen .

Not sure of the order but that is their 3 I believe .
 
We have fared very well @ the Jets in recent years, but until we prove that we can even be competent in Buffalo, I'm not worrying about what these other teams do. I'm betting that our playoff chances will come down to a "win and you're in" situation week 17.
 
Go to the playoff machine. It is possible we get in at 9-7 and dropping our last 2 games. lots has to happen but it could. Need the Bengals to step up at home and Texans to beat Titans.
 
Yes the Bengals could be great spoilers for us with games against Pit and Baltimore. You got to think they will be all in to be a division rival. The Steelers have a home game against the Browns to end the year, so we might to beat NE to make it happen. That Buffalo game is really scary, maybe Tannehill not playing that one could be a good thing.

There are no cases where losing to Jets would eliminate us. But that would be a huge blow to playoff chances.
