1. Miami will not trade into the top 3 to pick Quinn. The Dolphins brass talks too much about how important draft picks are and about rebuilding through the draft.
2. If Quinn does fall to Miami at #9 (a Strong possibility once he gets pass Cleveland), Miami will draft him with the #9 pick and keep him.
3. If Peterson falls to Miami at #9 (a strong possibility once he gets pass Cleveland), Miami will draft him with the #9 pick and listen to or initiate talks with teams interested in a RB (Houston and Green Bay). If no takers they will gladly keep the BP at #9. If we get a legitimate offer we'll trade down and pick up a extra pick or two.
4. If Quinn and Peterson are gone and we can't trade down we'll pick from amongst:
a. Ginn Jr
b. Landry
c. Brown
d. Willis
e. Revis/Houston
5. If we can trade down look for us to use the trade down pick on Staley, or a CB or a WR.
6. The rest of the draft will be determined on how the above scenarios works out. If we don't get Quinn look for us to use at least one of our 2nd round picks on a QB, OL (G,C, or T), WR, or S.
7. With our 3rd round pick look for us to draft one of the need positions (QB, OL, WR, S) not addressed with either of our round 2 picks or CB Eric Wright from UNLV.

Do you agree/disagree? Why not?

Sounds about right to me. I firmly believe Cam and Randy will select the BPA at #9 regardless of need. That's the way to build a good team.

I agree that we will not move into the top 3 because it would be too expensive. However, we could move into the #4 spot (Tampa Bay) and it would only cost us the #40 pick in the 2nd round and we could possibly get their 5th round pick as well.

I agree that if Peterson falls to #9, there's a strong possibility that we'll take him but I don't agree that we would draft him first and then look for a trade. We would listen to trade talks BEFORE actually drafting Peterson.

Overall I agree. What I don't agree/disagree with is in bold highlight.

If Quinn falls past 3 there is really no reason to trade with tampa because the only other team that would pikc quinn would be the vikings, and trading up with washington at #6 will only cost a 3rd according to the draft charts and they are in a desperate need of picks.

I just hope CJ is taken #1 overall and Cleveland ends up taking AP...we'd be guaranteed Quinn/Russell at that point.

We will not take a running back in the first round regardless of who is on the board. That would be the stupidest move ever considering we have Ronnie and Ricky coming back. If Quinn is not there at number 9 then I would have to guess Miami will go lineman or try and trade down.

Really can't see that happening, you can pick up recievers easier than QB's,Oakland has a Dumb@$$ for an owner but even he knows they need a QB!

We wont trade into the top 3 for Quinn, but we will trade with Washington Id say. And we wont draft peterson, thats just stupid. Possibly if we trade off Ricky we might, but not with Ricky and Ronnie, thats a waste of a pick.

If Quinn is off the board, we likely look to trade down (especially if Peterson is there) into the mid teens, and select from among Ginn, Brown/Staley, Willis and the top CB on our board.

If we cant we likely pick one of those players outright at 9.

Just because Mueller drafted Deuce with Ricky on the team doesnt mean he would take AP here. We likely wont get Ricky type compensation for Ronnie in a trade for one, and we have a quality backup in Ricky as well. Just doent make much sense. Not that i see AP falling to us anyway, but whatever.

As of right now, there is no guarantee that Ricky will be reinstated. I think he will be but if the decision doesn't come down before the draft, then what?
