After watching all but one game this year, I believe I figured out how to beat the D...

The key is to stop the LB's from blitzing.. How do you do that?? short passes over the middle, sweeps and screens.. Once the LB's are staying put, then you can look downfield for one of many open receivers...

Once the pressure is off the QB, then you have plenty of time to find those open receivers because the DB's play a soft defense giving the receivers atleast a 10 yard cushion..

Lastly, exploit the weak play of Ayodele and Goodman.. when coming off the snap, I would look at whomever is covered by these two and they will be open by atleast 5 yards..

The defense needs help

Great points. They can't defend the sweeps or screens at all.

our major problem is our entire secondary...they can't cover anybody...we need to get some shutdown corners, whether free agency or using high draft picks on that position...if you can get corners who can cover on a regular basis, you can do alot more things with blitz packages and other things to confuse the defense...also we could load more people in the box to stop the run and leave our corners out on an island...if we did that now we would give up a touchdown every series

Phase 1: Get Jason Ferguson to leave the game. Phase 2: Run the ball. Phase 3: Profit!

As sad as it is.. I stated in pre-season our WR's and DB's would be the weak links..

How to beat the Dolphin Defense???

Step 1: snap the ball w/o committing a false start.
Step 2: do pretty much whatever the hell you want.

WE AREN'T THERE YET GUYS! GIVE THE TUNA A COUPLE OF YEARS (DRAFTS) TO GET US REBUILT! It's a process. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will the Dolphins.

Good observations! We knew it was going to be a long year and so it goes. Pass rush without the blitz is major and we are not getting it, big problem. Force the LB's to stay home and...it;s just what you said.

Which makes me ask... what would happen if we went into press man to man coverage instead of this weak azz soft zone coverage....???

I've always thought that the way to get to our defense was to exploit our two biggest weaknesses, mainly defending against the pass and defending against the run.

its more simple than any of that. just throw the ball 40 times. were bound to fall down on our own a few times, drop a couple of sure ints and blow at least 3 coverages a game
