How Vance Joseph’s Worst Season Got Him the Job

He did a great job here last year too. I really don't care if the numbers said we gave up too many yards or whatever... our defenses clapped down in the red zone and got timely turnovers. More clutch at the end of the game than those ZT and JT led supreme defenses. Hopefully VJ won't be missed too much.

To me that article tells of the relationship Kubiak still has with Elway. Vance is Kubiaks guy and Elway went with Kubiaks guy. There is a lot of respect between those two.
