It's a prime time game. Translation: We will not just lose, but lose badly in front of the nation and espn will salivate about it all weekend.

ha ha...thats always possible...you can just about guarantee none of the talking heads on espn or nfl network will be picking us to win this game...

We'll hang tough for the first three quarters and right when we think we may have a shot .... BAM! Tannehill get's blindsided, the ball pops out and Cincy goes on to score 17 unanswered points.

Just another day at the office.

Yep...that just about sums up my feelings.

For the money these guys make, I would love to work for that office.

I'm gonna have some hope here, they just can't lose 5 in a row. This streak is disturbing. They just CAN'T FINISH a game. They can score on anybody, they can stop anybody as long as it's not at a real critical time in the football game. When it matters they can't get a couple of first downs to kill the clock on Buffalo. When they have a chance to finish NE you get a dropped pass, a sack, a missed FG. The season started out the exact opposite they were making clutch plays I just can't understand what happened. Now I think it's been around a GD month since they have won a game.

I really want Philbin and Tannehill to succeed here. I'm tired of coaching searches, I'm tired of QB searches, I'm tired of missing the playoffs every year, I'm tired of embarrassing records year after year, I'm tired of losing to NE every time. I'm hoping they can stop the free fall now and put together a respectable season so we don't need another house cleaning.

I voted YES in respect of the Dolphins team(s) I grew up with in the 80's and 90's. However, in reality this is no longer those teams nor does it seem capable of brushing off a loss and coming back to destroy the next team up (like those teams could do). Sadly, with this new logo change as well, I identify with them even less.

For all the negativity and m0r0nic arm chair QBing around here, they have been competitive and in all games so far.

I think this one might be an ugly affair due to the short week, and the double low blows of losing the WR and Pouncey getting indicted

Unfortunately.........I see many mistakes and a big loss coming Thursday, 3&5 next.
Hope I'm wrong....would gladly eat crow for dinner..........

The good thing is, no one watches Thursday night football

Why would anyone pick Miami?

We are 14-5 vs the Bengals.

We have their number.

This will be no different.

I think we'll start slowly. A team coming home off a string of difficult losses is not likely to be self motivated. More likely discouraged. They'll have to find energy within the game.

Normally it's a bonus when the road team is coming off a victory. When you are already a vulnerable team and are sent on the road after a victory, there's a big chance you'll have false contentment and not fully show up. Witness the efforts from Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and the Jets yesterday. All road teams that aren't particularly good yet were coming off wins. I have no idea how the media is always silent about this. I've mentioned many times that there is a 9% difference in expectation against the spread for road teams coming off a loss as opposed to a victory. Road teams off a loss cover 54% on average while road teams coming off a win cover 45%. There is not a similar gap for teams coming home off a loss as opposed to a win. New England had no birthright to be energized yesterday but we handed it to them in the second half when they were otherwise content to sleepwalk.

That being said, a top team doesn't share the same frailty when sent on the road after a victory. Particularly a big victory. In college and pro football, road teams that won by 14 points or more above the spread as a home favorite the prior week do well on the road the following week. It's not the greatest week to face Cincinnati. They'll show up and we have to match them.

Believe it or not I have a strong feeling the Dolphins end up winning this game.
