How would the 72 Squad react if the Dolphins ever threatened the Perfect Season?

Do you think they would be as accepting? Would they root on the Dolphins to bring another perfect season to the franchise? Or would they be waiting to pop the champagne?
 
I actually think they would be cool with it. I think they know eventually it'll happen but how sweet if you can keep it in the house
 
I remember in 1984 when we started 11-0 the reaction of some of the '72 team was that they wanted the Dolphins to go all the way and win the Super Bowl, but lose 1 along the way. It may have been Griese I heard make that comment, it's been quite a while.
 
They seem to be a group of slightly bitter old men (even though I don't hate their practice of popping corks on the last undefeated team to lose, I would too).

But if they don't even cheer for the Dolphins, they might be vilified.

If true, I would lose respect for anyone who felt that way. Period I don't care what they've done.
 
I'd be very disappointed if they rooted against us. They'd lose a lot of respect from me at least...

That's would be a really difficult problem to have.

we should find a way to pose this question to one of the 72 phins...or email it to one of the beat writers to have them ask it....
 
great question....I have to agree that, they damn sure better be okay with it.
 
Its not gunna happen for a few years so we wont have to think about it for awile
 
if they rooted against us that would be embarrasing

but then again we are not going to have to worry about that for a while looking at this team right now
 
If they care about this team then they should be cool with it.

It would be awesome though, then anyone else would have to do it TWICE.
