I know Tua is the obvious target for next year(I have not really seen Herbert)but I think Fromm is going to be a great NFL QB.

He reminds me of Brady in that he is competitive, accurate and efficient. He is a leader and a winner.

You rank Murray that high? So you would do whatever necessary to go get him if possible?

Or would you still build talent first w the likelihood we finish in a high draft pick position?
And have a good shot at getting Tua or Fromm ext year w a stronger base.

I haven't delved deeply into the 2020 group yet so hard for me to say on those guys. Lawrence and Tagovalioa look awesome in the couple of times I've seen them both play. The one question I keep wondering with Drew Lock is how people would view him had he played for a loaded team like an Alabama? His tools seem very similar to Josh Allen, who you have listed in the middle of this group. I ask about Lock simply because I have to think he's on Miami's radar.

Lawrence, Tua, Fromm, Herbert have not played last college season.

    1. Mahomes (arm, prototypical, stats)
    2. Murray (arm, not proto but exceptional runner, stats)
    3. Mayfield
    4. Haskins
    5. Rudolph
    6. Lock
    7. Trubisky
    8. Lawrence
    9. Watson
    10. Herbert

The rest are no worth drafting. Either small arm, small stature, or poor stats.

I like this list but would move Lawrence down to 3 (for now)as he hasn't played a down in the NFL and it's hard to imagine him doing much better than what Mahomes has done.

agree... basically my WAG projection -- so I'm obviously thinking Trevor is a "generational" type talent.

I agree he could end up at the top of the list. I just hope people don't think this kids will come in have 60 TD's every year now.

It's really hard to say. I can't go back in time and have a conversation with myself about Kyler Murray versus Patrick Mahomes, for example. I was onto Mahomes for like 3 years before he came out. I can't go back and have a conversation with myself about Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray.

I probably shouldn't have even done the rankings.

What I can say is that the following players got #1 Pick/#1 QB grades from me, or will get them:

    Phillip Rivers
    Aaron Rodgers
    Matt Leinart
    Sam Bradford
    Cam Newton
    Andrew Luck
    Jameis Winston
    Patrick Mahomes
    Baker Mayfield
    Kyler Murray
    Tua Tagovailoa
    Trevor Lawrence

Where they should all rank relative to one another, I don't know, nor do I particularly care.

After that lot, you have the rest of the bunch. None of whom would I have taken and felt like, yes I've absolutely got my man for the next 10 years. Every one of them would've been/will be wait-and-see.

Wow Kyler Murray not just the best on that list but better than Patrick Mahomes. That is what’s being said right?

Bwahaha...I can’t wait until this blows up. I’ll be the guy saying I told ya so.

My bet, within 3 years Murray is somewhere between marginal and irrelevant anymore. I won’t say right away because there will be a ton of hype to prop up the lows that will be mixed in with some highs because it will take teams some time to defend him. That’s what I call fools gold. He’ll have the mainstream defending him who will make excuses like poor supporting cast, poor coaching, an injury, or just needing more time to develop.

All in all, people who have Murray this high are idiots; especially those who study this stuff more than the average fan...like those with podcasts.
