How would you view Tannehill if he was the starting QB for another team with the same stats and playing style? We want him to do good because he is our guy, he is what we have to work with right now, but from what I have seen he is not a franchise guy. You really cannot tell me that this is what you want for about 8 more years. We keep making excuses for him, its everybodies fault except for RT. Franchise QB make there teams better. Blake Bortles is having a better year than our QB, Carr is looking great, and these are team who are not so good teams. We keep asking for coaches who we think will save RT, like Seam Payton, RT will not become Brees. So would you feel the same way about RT if he was playing for another team, would thik that he is a franchise QB and worth 100 mil?

Is Bill Lazorfail his OC with the other team as well?

First off, if T-hill had a pro bowl oline, a 1,800 yard back, Dez Bryant & Gronk, Don Shula, and a Ferrari you would see his real potential. You guys keep bashing him but this is only his 4th year. The kid is still in the early stages of his career, give him some time. Once we overhaul management and redo this entire process we will be fine just sit tight camper!

You know at the end of last season the sentiment was Lazor/Tannehill were gonna take over the world, even with the run numbers discrepancy. All I kept hearing was 2 to 1 TD to INT ratio, 4000 yards, top 5 completion percentage . . . hell you had a few posters who said they wouldn't take Rodgers (age)/Luck/Wilson over him because of age and that Tannehill was "our guy" . . . the clear best young QB in the game.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Lazor, I wasn't a fan of him last year, I don't like being in a shotgun heavy offense, especially with a QB who is prone to taking sacks because of his poor pocket awareness and inability to improvise . . . but I think his system is the type of system that can get the best out of a QB, but once people blueprint the QB weaknesses . . . Tannehill became a detriment to the entire offense.

It wasn't a good fit from the beginning and in the end, it costs us, because we committed to Ryan long term and we truthfully have no idea what we really have in him. The only thing you can commend on this point is the fact that the contract has an out clause every 2 years, so 2016 is the do or die season for Ryan Tannehill. At this point, him becoming Alex Smith would be a good thing.

He is who he is
If the team was better around him he would be better but that's not life in the nfl. See how Brady wins, not last week, with guys going down, depleted receivers etc, I don't think Ryan can put those deficiencies on his shoulders and still win...doesn't seem to have that Rothlisburger "it" factor. Can we win with him, yes, but the sporting cast better be very, very, good and we're not there.

If he was a QB that just signed the contract that Miami gave him...you would see a lot of poster on here clown that team (including me)...what would be surprising is that some of the most staunch supporters would be right there. Think of how this group reacted with the Dalton Contract....same thing.

I would love to see Andy Dalton and Tannehill switch teams and see the result.

Many who bash him would be pointing to him as the QB that Miami needs. So many people try to hold Tannehill solely accountable for the team's W-L record, then pimp other QBs whose teams are currently 4-8 and 5-7.....

I can tell you that if I wasn't a Dolphins fan, I'd probably view them like the 5-7 Raiders. Decent young QB. Can't seem to get out of their own way. Revolving door in the coaching ranks and poor personnel choices. Once proud franchise that hasn't won in a long time.

i would still view him as Dalton 2.0, and thats what i see in Dolphin Uniform with number 17 on it

he doesnt suck enough to get a new guy but he's not great enough for us to matter in the AFC

Very similar to how I view Chicago with Jay Cutler, Philly with Sam Bradford, Washington with Kirk Cousins.

So Carr is looking great and Bortles is having a great season?

Carr career record is 8-20 (5-7 this year)
Bortles career record is 7-18 (4-8 this year)

Not saying they are not going to be good quarterbacks someday, but I'm not sure they are good examples or comparisons. My opinion is that there are only 4 or 5 elite quarterbacks in any given season. Miami doesn't have one at the moment but they have a decent quarterback that most games he is not the reason we lose. Until we find something better he is our guy. Good quarterbacks are hard enough to find then to just get rid of them because they are not elite and they hope you find one in the draft. I also think if Bortles was our quarterback and Tannehill was on the Jags, the statement would read "Tannehill is having a better year than our quarterback.

Man I am not talking about win. I talking about how these young Qbs are looking better than our 4-5th year guy, or the way you guys see him, the savior is playing
