Howard Ultimatum (according to PFT)

If there's any truth behind this report, which I doubt coming from PFT, We'll definitely be drafting a CB somewhere in the draft.

I don't think it's true after trading Surtain because if we cut him all we really have are Madison and Poole.

and if you thought Howard was bad at the nickel and dime then ohhh boy i can't wait for you guys to see Edwards.

I'm not sure I understand the salary cap page on this site. But, if I understand it correctly, Howard makes $1M per year. If we cut him, we take an additional $1M cap hit. So, our options would be:
a) Let him play for us for $1M
b) Cut him and pay $2M

It would seem like option A makes more sense, especially given that Surtain is gone.

I think a CB will be in the mix of our draft picks.

Antrel at #7?

Nah, couldnt be.

Or could it.....

Who are we kidding- we still know nothing!

And I love it.

I wonder if PFT even thinks about what the make up or just take some stupid thing and put it on the press.

Will Poole To The Rescue!!!!! LoL, I also doubt this is true, but you never know with Saban

Are you sure about that?

Clumpy has a dead cap at 750,000 after 6/1 with a 3 million cap hit for the season......

Aside from that. I can believe the report. Bellichek, Saban, and probably Crennel haven't seemed to have much of opinion about the monetary importance of the position.

If they have had a theory of the cornerbacks lessor importance relative to the defense, one could say it was proven to be fact throughout the playoffs and the Superbowl.

Randall Gay anyone?

I know Saban loves Antrelle. If word is correct about miami not drafting a RB at 2, then why would they draft RB at 7 if they like this kid so much? I know Saban wants to build this defense in his image.

I thought this was reported from a real media source a few days ago?

Howard should be cut whether he takes a paycut or not IMO.
