What's up everybody?!! It's been a while since I've been here and I got an email from finheaven the other day so I figured it was time to come back and say hello. Things are good on this end... still representing about a dozen players around the league (no Fins at the moment), and I'm doing my weekly guest appearance every tuesday morning on the Dolphins' flagship station (940WINZ). I plan on checking in here regularly again so if anybody has any questions feel free to fire away. Also, I've recently joined twitter so you can follow me @TesslerSports.

Great to hear from you. I am doing a lot better now that we secured our Pro Bowl cornerback.

Are you representing any clients that the Dolphins may be interested in?

I've seen better days. Got arrested for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, and an owi because I turned too wide and was in the left lane a little bit. Not into oncoming traffic, no other cars around, just a cop looking for a reason to pull anyone over.

For the upcoming draft I have a couple guys they've contacted me about for private workouts and pre-draft visits. As far as Grimes is concerned, that signing was HUGE and I'm surprised it happened so quickly.

We all chatted "just a little" about Martin and Incognito.. Other than that you haven't missed a thing

Hey Brett, howz it goin' ?

Just for grins...based on your "informed opinion" if you had to venture a guess, who do you think will end up going #1 and who'll be the first QB off the boards? On a more finscentric basis, at 19, do you think the fins will be drafting based on a specific position focus or two, and/or what's the likelihood of us trading up or down? I purposely didn't ask your opinon of Hickey cuz I don't wanna put you on the spot, although that would have been my first question. :idk:

TIA for your insights.

Bro, how you been? The best double pimp jump shot ever! AHS turning into a sports power house these days unlike when we played there!

Brett, how many draft eligible guys are you representing this year? Also, professionally speaking how was it dealing with Ireland as a GM vice other GM's?

Tell me about it... I represent one of the guys from the Wells Report (Andrew McDonald/Player A) and what a friggin mess it caused... Had to go on CNN Piers Morgan Live and ESPN Outside the Lines a couple weeks ago to clear things up.

Listening to 940WINZ on IHeart Radio. Welcome back.

How does the current cap increase, as well as those projected in the next two years, affect players, agents, and teams in their dealings, as opposed to the stagnant cap of the past few years?

Oh I watched that ESPN one... they sure tried hard to tell you how disgusted McDonald must be with the fins lol

First, let me answer the question you purposely didn't ask... The truth is, I've known Dennis for 17 years and he's an incredibly thorough evaluator of players... Way more knowledgable than most personnel guys around the League. That said, he's never had the responsibilities of a GM so only time will tell how he'll do in this role. Personality-wise, he'll be different from Jeff Ireland (who I get along with very well) in the way that he's a little more easy going kind of guy who should be able to get along well with Aponte and the other powers that be. It's anybody's guess what the Fins will do in the draft, but it's pretty clear that as of now they need 4 O-linemen, a tight end, and a running back. If they feel that the right guy will be there at 19 then they should stay put, otherwise trading down could certainly be an option. If I were running this draft I would use every pick on those positions to maximize the chance that at least a couple of them will pan out and fill the needs that this roster so obviously has. I think the 2 best players in the draft are Greg Robinson and Khalil Mack. Clowney is the most talented (and unpredictable), and Bortles and Manziel will probably be drafted higher than they should based on teams like Cleveland, Jax, and Houston desperately needing starting QBs.

Do you still represent players after the football career? And do you get kick backs when they go on TV, or make offseason appearances or do movies? Also, for the big time first round type drafters the super agents just swoop in and take their guys, how do the mid to late draftees get agents? Is there a bidding process done by the agents to the player? Would love to know, thanks!
