What might have been if Wanstadt would have gone with Damon Huard instead of Fiedler. He looks pretty good in K.C. and looked good in the few games that he played for us

Refuse to play what-might-have-been games, what possible purpose does it serve?
Aren't we all just playing "what might have been" games on this sight in one form or another?

FIEDLER, HUARD WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? We Weren't Winning A Super Bowl With Damon Huard At Qb. Kc Won't Either!

Yeah oddly enough we didn't win won with Marino either.

Still Damon Huard was and still is a better QB than Jay Fiedler

The difference is that Huard has the second highest QB rating behind Peyton, and has won five of his six starts, did Feidler ever have a QB rating above 90?

Sure we are but some people.............ah,just forget it I`m sure you get the picture.

Huard has been performing out of his mind with K.C. this season. Exceeding expectations and we all know the law of gravity - he'll fall to earth this weekend in Miami. Joey Harrington OTOH, has been under performing and he'll pick things up this weekend building on the momentum from Chicago.

Both QB's are Pac-10, both from the Pacific Northwest. Interesting that Huard is a former Dolphin, and Harrington *nearly* went to K.C. before the meeting with Saban that brought him here. There were some family ties, Gunther Cunningham the Chiefs DC knew him and his dad from Oregon, Al Saunders the former OC reportedly had coveted Harrington. Lots of talk on Chiefs boards about them getting Joey - but it never happened.

Huard would've won more games than Fiedler. He wasn't brilliant with us since we had no running game but he managed games well. Had he been around when Chambers was around, with Ricky Williams, could've been a different story.

WHO CARES. At the time Huard sucked because he was afraid to throw anything but dump off patterns. Don't you remember the pathetic games he had in the preseason. Huard is playing well now, but this is his swan song.

Fielder sucked in preseason also, but in games that counted Huard played well.

I still say Fiedler is better albeit, probably not by much. I can think of 2 games in Miami (1999 vs the Jets I was there and 2000 in Buffalo) where Damon Huard had no support from a strong running game and he was absolutely useless. It was ugly, ugly stuff. In 2001 Fiedler had no running game period and pulled off 5 4th quarter comebacks. In KC Huard is a great fit, in Miami with what we had at RB (Lamar Smith was good in 2000 but no good in 2001) Fiedler was the better choice. I don't like Wanny either guys but he made the right choice with the QB spot. If we shutdown LJ, big if, you will see what I'm talking about.

Well hard to say if he made the right choice because Huard never had a chance. Fielder was Wanny's pick from day one.

the man can win pretty well imo. when he had his time to shine here in marinos last year he looked very impressive, somthin i certainly cant say for marino. i was furious when i first found out we were gunna start jay over him because we had no reason to take the starting position from him. and if im not mistaken isnt the last time we made the playoffs when huard was playing for us for the injured marino? imo it doesnt matter but fiedler was a mistake, we could of had just as many 10-6 seasons with huard.

That was many years ago and he wasnt' the same QB then that he is now. I think a few years behind Brett Favre in GB and then in the KC system (all with excellent coordinators) he became what he is today. When we had him he wasn't the answer, and neither was Feidler...
