Hull and Warmsley among preseason leaders

They both should be on the 53. If not it would be a surprise at this point.

Yeah I really wouldn't expect either to be off the 53. I haven't watched Hull particularly closely this preseason. I've watched almost every snap of Warmsley's and he's definitely a keeper. However, he's a bit of a tweener size-wise...seems a little small to effectively plug up the middle in our scheme and not fleet of foot enough to play on the edges. But the guy is giving 110% and making things happen - honestly at the moment that's in stark contrast to many players higher on the depth chart.

Have to go back and watch Hull a little more carefully.

Well Hull has also done and excellent job on special teams, always a good way to make the team, especially as a back up LB.

Bottom line is I don't care about Warmsley's size-- the dude is productive and disruptive. He plays with a high motor every play, unlike some other big names on the d-line If he keeps it up I could definitely see him easily see him supplanting someone on the d line.

Aaron Donald is too small too. He's just the best DT in the NFL.

Watching him fall in the draft drove me nuts. The senior bowl practices Should of been all teams needed to see just how dominating he was.

Really goes to show just how much teams look at the measurements.

He went 13th and was the 1st DT taken in the draft...I don't know if you would consider that falling...

I hope Warmsley makes it, he's going to be a wrecking ball soon.

I knew watching him at Pitt that he was special.

Agree. He will make a solid back up for Suh. Heck if Phillips doesn't step it up he might take his job :idk:

Its a little frustrating to me that Phillips and Douglas might never help us. Again we have to hit on more of these draft picks or its more than likely going to be same old same old.

I couldn't believe the great hand work by Warmsley vs. Atlanta. His explosion off the ball and his quick hands and moves looked exceptional.

I know it was pre season but watching Warmsley at times reminded me of Warren Sapp. Close to the same size and Warmsley was showing the explosion and quick hands and moves like Sapp did. Warmsley and Suh have been the best DTs this pre season so how can you cut Warmsley?!
