Look I know I will get blasted for this and I'm in no way saying he is as good as Zach Thomas. The guy has only played a few NFL snaps but I really liked how he played Sunday. He showed some real promise. Everyone told him he was too small just as they did to Thomas. They are similar in their style as well. People are gonna kill me for the comparison but I honestly saw flashes of Thomas in Hull and I think he needs a chance to show it.

Despite Zachs size the man was fearless as a tackler, particuallry against the run, not very NFL Player will translate this way.

It's the same conversation we had about Grant, people start comparing him to other small players that were good and say that could be Grant.

All is possible I suppose but there is a reason why these players are drafted late or not drafted.. Your drafting against the odds type of a player. Also people were saying similar things about Vigil when we drafted him remember?

That flash you saw was Dennis Pitta running by our linebackers.

Don't let hoops read the OP.

I however think that Hull will prove to be a valuable Dolphin. He made some plays against the Ravens.

Anyone that watched Zach play knows how far off the deepend this comparison is. ZT was one of the all time greats at MLB.

Hull made plays and might possible be the best choice for a 2 down option in the middle for the rest of the season, but that's where it ends.

Zack Thomas made immediate impact in his first few games- big plays.
Other than being a white MLB, he has got a lot to prove.
I hope he shows us glimpses of Zack. We need another good LB.
If he is good, why was he on the bench?

I can see wanting Hull to be that guy, but he isn't. I wanted a Linebacker U guy to be another Zach. But he gets run over, bounces off running backs and doesn't always wrap up.

What? We got blown out and they kept attacking the center of the field. What did you see to make you believe in this guy? Honestly when you let 30+ points nobody showed promise or did good as a defense.

Jesus it's like every white guy that is undersized immediately "shows" promise because we had Thomas a decade ago.

Thomas was truly special. Lacked size and athleticism but he was always there for INT and tackles. I did like the hustle that Hull demonstrated. Paysinger is garbage.

I long for the day where we have a LB in or out that makes big plays ala one of my fav players Z. Thomas. He was a guided missile that would come out of nowhere and lay the wood. His name would be called over and over again in primetime games and I remember that as the only time I would get to see the Fins at that time was on nationally televised games. Love me some Zach! Oh and if Hull is half of Zach we will be in good shape.

I liked Hull coming out of Penn St. He's been good on ST's, and I've always thought that he is better than Hewitt. He has adequate speed and good agility, but he has offers very little burst. Solid guy to have on the team, and he's a potential upgrade to what Miami has been fielding. At this point, I like him better as a ST's player/sub LB, so I would be looking to upgrade through the draft, but for 2016, he may be one of Miami's 2 or 3 best options at LB.
