I am not hearing much about Hunt. Just one blurb that he was having some trouble. I was hoping he could start at RT at least RG.

According to reports I've seen he's not playing up to the level of the other rookies yet. I think he's better suited for RG.

I think he started at Right Tackle and Jesse Davis started at Right Guard for the scrimmage.

Kindley will challenge for Right Guard, Hunt is currently the starting Right Tackle.

I don't care if he's slower to get his feet wet, let's see how it goes in the regular season.

I know we are all desperate for football this year, but I’m not sure why people care about training camp news. There isn’t even a preseason this year. I don’t expect Hunt to be great week 1, but he definitely has the tools to be a starting RG/RT. Let him get some real game action before we worry about where he is at.

It's my understanding, Hunt has been killing it in the run game. But has been slow to improve in pass protection. He's been moving guys of the LOS as a run blocker, as expected. But as a pass blocker, againt pros, he's having his issues.

That's not that unusual, or unexpected under normal circumstances, let alone for a rook this year.

From what I've read from around the web, both Miami DE's Obah and Lawson have been excellent in camp, against everyone they've gone up against. Whether that's a testament to their abilities, lack of skill by Hunt and others or somewhere in between, that's the question.

This is one of the reasons I was not confident he could play RT, at least not right away.

Add in that Tua is a lefty and it is more important that the RT can pass block.

It could be that in a year or two Kindley and Hunt are the starting OG's which would be fine with me.

I think we will see the team looking for one more OT in the next Draft, or possibly in FA.

Glad he's showing his chops RE run game.

He's a bit of a "project" in pass pro so I'd definitely expect him to get some help on the outside with TE chips etc.

But the dude is a big powerful man and he's going to hunt some pancakes for damn sure!

Our R side could be pretty formidable with the ground game.

If Flowers is good at pulling (?) we could be pretty tuff pounding the pig R

I agree. I think the run game is where the strength of the OL seems to be. Hunt needs experience at the pro level. It's quite possible Hunt's best days are in front of him. Just needs more seasoning from an experience standpoint
